Applying for VISA..what are my chances
Hi, I am planning to apply for tourist VISA b1/b2. I am one of the 6 players of the Philippines that will participate in a gaming world championship. I just want to know my chances of passing a Visa. I don't want my money go to waste. The tournament that I'm attending is not sponsored. it's all my own expense. Ia m trying to picture my interview..I dont know if I can pass or not.. pls give me advice..I am 24 years old, male and single..employed. By the way if I win the tournament 20k US dollars will be the prize
I am only child and living with my mom so I dont have any intentions to work overseas. This tournament is solely my purpose. It's been a dream of mine.

so I am picturing my interview would went like this..

interview experience OF (B2) at US embassy islamabad
the key to interview is always speak truth and be confident n specific about your answers u have to show the visa officer u know what u r doing n why u r doing it.
before my interview he rejected two students.
n he was in hurry..
anyhow here how it starts:.
VO:GOOD MORNING,PASS YOUR DOCUMENTS PLEASE.
ME:MORNING N PASSED MY DOCUMENTS.
VO:WHY U WANNA GO?
ME:FOR TOURISM
VO:WHY NOW?
ME:EXPLAINED
VO:FOR HOW MANY DAYS?
ME:TOLD HIM
VO:HAVE U EVER WENT TO AMERICA BEFORE?
ME:NO
VO:WHAT U DO?
ME:AM A DOCTOR
VO:WHAT KIND OF MEDICINE?
ME:EXPLAINED
VO:WHERE U WORK?
ME:TOLD HIM
VO:YOUR VISA IS APPROVED
ME:THANKS

they usually dont need your documents.they have resources to verify everything about you.so just tell them the truth about everything n be specific.

Applying Visitor's Visa for my parents
I am an Australian Citizen doing business from China and Hong Kong for the last 15years, wants to sponsor financially my Indian citizen parents(Retired Government Officer and Pathologist) for US tourist visit later this year with my family,
can anyone suggest if my parents should apply the visa to come to me first to China and then appear for US visit, or they can mention in the interview that they will apply China visa after getting US visa?
they have travelled to me in Australia couple of times and also to China twice in their lifetime and have sizeable savings and investments on their own in India,
My elder brother lives in India and have his own business, his wife also runs her own school and they have 15yo son.
Please advise.

Visiting US with B1/B2 visa
Hi, This is Karthik from Atlanta. I will get married in September 2016 and want to bring my wife to US in visitor's visa till the dependent visa is processed. I cannot process dependent visa for her immediately as i have to renew my L1b visa first and that would be done only in Nov 2016 and then now a days we get visa appointment only after 2 months. So it would take 5 to 6 months after the marriage. She has B1/B2 visa and has traveled to US once in B1 for business purpose. Can she now travel in B2 visa (Tourist) immediately with me when i travel back to US? If yes, what is the process. Is booking the ticket alone sufficient?

Administrative Processing (B1/B2 visa) Filipino
I am 28 yrs old, from Philippines but currently working in China for 6 years now. I had my interview last Wednesday (July 6). The interview went smoothly. The consular officer did not look at my documents and did not ask anything from me. She just checked my old passport and commented that there are a lot of stamps in my passport. (I go home at least once a year. I have traveled to Japan, Thailand, Indonesia and Hong Kong.)

The officer asked me about my job and salary, relatives in the US, relatives in the Philippines, Why China?. After the interview the consular officer took my passport and said they need to do some kind of "check" but did not give me any kind of paper. I was not told that I was approved but she said they're going to email me if they need more documents from me and if I don't hear from them within 4 days then "I'm OK".

It has been 9 days since my interview but there are still no news from them. I checked my status online and still says "Administrative Processing". It has been on AP since July 6. How long do we need to wait under AP (b1/b2) ? It's really frustrating because I want to travel this August. Ticket prices are soaring high. I hope I will get some news soon.

Has anyone experienced the same thing? if so, how long did you have to wait? :(
