B2 Visa After completing a J1/J2 visa stay
Hello Forum,

Me & my husband had already been to the USA for My master degree study and we stayed there for a whole year and I didnt apply for an Opt after the course of study.

And now we want to apply for a B2 Visa for touristic visit. And I’m wondering whether to mention that we are going To visit NY which is our real plan or shall be say that we are going to NC (the same state of my msc study) and mention that we already have friends and relationships there .

Home ties: House, Car, family and a decent jobs (I work at EY)
Income: Me 700$ and my spouse 800$ + personnal savings

Noting that I dnt have any immediate relatives in the US only my son is a US citizen but still a baby
And we travelled before to Rome, Paris, Turkey, Germany

Do we have a good chance or no? And shall we state that we are self financed or parent financed?

Thanks,

Change of Embassy location for B2 Visitor Visa
My mother visa got denied on 17th October. I am thinking to change her location visa interview location to Kolkata. Earlier she got denied at Delhi embassy.
I know changing location does not increase chance of acceptance but could it harm in any ways that can lead to rejection ?

Another query regarding changing information in her education section. Previously i missed to add her education details. Is it okay to add them now or should i keep it empty ?

Any suggestions are most welcome !!

B2 visa denied
Hello, I recently applied for B2 visa but it was rejected. Here are my details, and the interview experience.

About me
-26 yo, unmarried
-Have a full time job earning close to INR 12 lakhs/P.A
-I do not have any immediate relatives in USA. Parents in India, working
- I have traveled to Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, France, UK and Japan previously

My purpose of visit was for tourism, travelling to Texas for 3 weeks. My boyfriend is studying there, but I did not mention this anywhere as I knew it would immediately lead to rejection. Apart from him, I don't know anyone there and so my trip was purely for tourism

Interview experience"
VO: Why are you travelling to US?
Me: I am going there for a holiday
VO: What and where do you work
Me: Answered
VO: How much do you earn?
Me: Answered
VO: Why Texas?
Me: It is one of the largest states in the US and I would be able to see more places. Also, given that it I intend to travel during December, it is going to be quite cold in US, so that way Texas is comfortable temperature wise for sightseeing
VO: Do you know anyone there?
Me: No
At this point, VO asked me the same question one more time, but I said no
VO: He picked up my passport and looked at my previous travels and asked me where all I have been, I answered
VO: Why are you visiting- Austin? why Houston?
Me: These are the major cities and are interesting places to see around
He did not look at any documents, he told me "unfortunately, we are unable to give you the visa" and handed me the 214b letter.
Could you let me know what might've gone wrong?
