Hello all,
I would like to share my experience regarding my L1B Individual visa application and I would be really appreciate if you could give me some tips or advices during the process.
I had my visa interview on 10th of October and Consular Officer gave me 221G white slip and requested additional documents, which are my university degree and university transcript. I had my secondary interview on 17th of October and provided the requested documents and handed over my passport.
The status date is still the same on ceac website, 10th of October, I will keep this page updated to be a reference for the similar cases and it would be amazing if you could share if you have also faced with similar cases.

All standard questions.
VO told no additional information is needed, They have everything they need.
But was issued 221(g) with only the admin process checked and wrote down the case numbers.
No status updates after.
Tried enquiring status after two months, but received a standard template in response.
10/23/2018 last update changed from the date of interview. Status AP.
10/24/2018 Status changed to Issued.
Now the wait starts for passport delivery.
10/25/2018 Passport has been received from the consular section, and is currently being processed for delivery.
I have given a pick up location (Cochin). No idea how long this is going to take.
10/26/2018 Ready for pickup.

Hi, I got the 221(g) form with below tick option
Your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made.
They return my passport and inform that i will get update through mail but still i didn't get any mail or call. I am not getting any proper option when i am calling customer care number.
My petition is going to expire January 2019 so i have to move ASAP so please help me out the status. what to do and where it struck.
Currently i am going to work in-house project so i don't have any client letter. I provided Labor and I-179. They took the labor provide that my case is under 221(g) and temporary on hold.

I attended interview for L1A in Ottawa on 21st Sept 2018. It was said that the visa is approved during the interview and passport collected. Then on the same day, I got the email from the consulate to submit my resume and transcripts. I submitted the documents on 24th Sept 2018. Then I received a email on 26th Sept that my case is moved to 221g and they returned my passport. No 221g slip provided.

I went for visa interview on 21st sept 2018 in Mumbai. I was a Phd student before and this was my first time transition from F1 to H1. I have been now working for company for last 2 years on H1. Totally been in US for more than 10 years.
Interview experience: VO spent 15min on my CV and went inside, asked couple of questions to someone and came and gave me Blue slip with all documents like CV, Research, Funding etc info to be asked to send over email. I sent all documents to requested email id in two days and got auto generated reply in one day or so. Although my slip color is Blue, the auto generated email response said Green. Not sure why. Its been more than 30 days since i submitted documents and have received no status update on website. Hope this waiting game is over soon.

She took a sticky note wrote "sevis" and took blue sheet. I stopped her and said I have all my sevis if u want.
She said its a problem on their side they will take couple days more than normal processing to verify the sevis. I asked "can u please tell me the exact number of days so I can plan my travel" ?7 days she answered.

My background: working full time since last 5 years with the same company. My company is subsidiary of a big company. I work as a Electrical engineer and been working full time since my graduation.
Interview:
1. VO asked, Where did I graduate from.
2. My Job,
3. If I work as a full time.
4. If I have any felony charges which is NO.
VO handed the green slip and there is nothing to worry and I will hear in 3 days. He kept the passport.
After 3rd day, my passport was returned with the Yellow sleep. They asked me to submit:
1. Employment contract
2. Detailed description of my project
3. A complete itinerary of services that specifies the dates, name and addresses of the actual employer.
Its been very frustrating 60 days and there is no way to track anything.
1. UPDATE 9/16/2018: Got an email to appear at the US consulate with all the documents.
2. Approved
3. My passport is still not returned. Its been 2 weeks. Status is still admin processing.
4. got passport after 3 weeks.

I was in US for 6Yrs, worked for one company, completed my full 6yrs of H1 and came back. After, 3 Yrs, i again applied for H1B through small consultancy, got picked in the lottery. I never had any issues with my previous H1B.
I went for Interview on 3/Mar/2017. Interview was simple. basic queries, Job detail, Location, Client, Salary, etc, 2 questions to my wife.
VO, stuck to one question, my company filed labor with Parent company and petition with subsidiary, i did answer the same, she was not convinced, she went inside to enquire further, after 5 mins she came back and told me to wait. waited for 1 hr, she came back and told me, at this time we are not able to arrive at the decision, we will need further processing, she returned all my documents and gave me Blue form ticked with Admin processing.
In June, status was updated, thats when USCIS visited my employer and client, my client submitted all the required documents, they said all good. Since then, no updates

Hello Everyone,
I attended my first H-1B visa interview at U.S Consulate General Hyderabad. These are my time-lines.
On 12/21/2017 : Case Created.
On 12/22/2017 : Visa Interview date, VO gave 221(g) saying additional time is need to process the visa. Same day received email
questionnaire requesting information on my personal background for last 15 years.
On 12/27/2017 : I submitted the detail questionnaire which was requested by Consulate.
On 01/25/2018 : Received email from Consulate to submit the passport.
On 02/01/2018 : Collected the passport..but same 221(g) sheet was placed inside the passport. Case is still in Administrative
Processing. Still waiting for future update from Consulate.
On 10/15/2018 : After 10 months in visa processing, I got an email to submit the passport for final processing.
On 10/16/2018 : Submitted passport.
On 10/17/2018 : Case status changed to "Issued".
