221(G) Tracker

I had my h1B interview on Nov 6th at the US embassy in Delhi. The interview went well, general questions were asked and then the interviewer asked for my dismissal order from the court (I was arrested for class C misdemeanor back in 2014). I was then handed a 221g yellow slip asking to submit my dismissal order, arrest documents and my passport. My case timeline is as follows: Nov 6th - Interview and 221g yellow slip Nov 6th - Submitted the requested documents and my passport and the 221g slip. Nov 6th - Case created Nov 13th - Administrative Processing Nov 18th - STILL Administrative Processing. No update since then. I would really appreciate any feedback from folks who have had similar experiences. How long did it take for their 221gs to get resolved. Thank you

H1B stamping only, I was under an L1B visa and switched to an H1B which was already approved but had to stamp it to go back to the U.S. Interview on 21Nov23, and was asked to provide CV and DS-5535 form Submitted docs 21Nov23 (same day) Last update on the case showing as 28Nov23; still showing as Refused

Hi, My interview was on June 17, 2022 for H1B at Karachi Consulate. I was asked to email the standard ds5535 type information like travel history, residences, employment history, etc. Since then I haven't heard back anything neither my case status has been updated. Please post in the comments section so we can share our scenarios. Has anyone got their case resolved in the past 3-5 months? Thanks. Was supposed to be my third B1/B2 visa. Travelled multiple times to USA over the last 6 years, immaculate immigration history. 1. Interview on 2023-01-30, officer started drilling down into my degree even though I'd never been asked about it previously and had graduated almost a decade ago. Officer asked me to send my CV and a list of my publications, returned the passport and gave me a white 221(g) slip. Case updated — "Refused". 2. Contacted the Embassy in mid-May 2023, received a standard reply. 3. Received an email to submit the passport on 2023-09-28, passport delivered to the Embassy on 2023-10-02 4. Case updated on 2023-10-05 — "Refused". 5. Case updated on 2023-10-17 — "Approved". 6. Case updated on 2023-10-18 — "Issued". 7. Received stamped passport on 2023-10-20. Visa valid for one year (previously had them valid for three) with "Clearance received" annotation.

July 13th 2023 : Drop box at Hyderabad for Mumbai consulate. July 17th 2023: Case was created - Refused - Collected passports at hyd - asked to appear for an interview in Mumbai - Lack of evidence July 27th 2023: Interview date - case update - Passports given back and 221 G - administration process Aug 28th 2023: Sent emails - no reply from USCIS Aug 30th 2023: Sent emails - no reply from USCIS Sep 20th 2023: Case date updated Sep 29th 2023: Email from USCIS case resolved- website link got shared to check the status https://www.usvisascheduling.com/ So happy and thought Visa and 221G got resolved. But website under maintenance for 5 days. After a week found that my emails has been addressed (USCIS thought its been addressed but not) - found the comment "Resolved" in the comments. Oct 13th 2023 : Sent another email to customer service

Received email on Nov 15 for re interview and re medical after 11 months. Re interview on Dec 06, 2022. case update 25 times. File mandamus 15 May 2023 US attorney contact to embassy on 2 July, case update on 3,5,6 July 7 July received email for 3 time medical and passport submission of kids. 10 Aug 2023 kids status change refused to ready. 17 Aug 2023 status change refused to Administration process 21 Aug 2023 all applicants status change Administration process to Issued

05/10/2023 - had h1b extension dropbox appointment 05/17/2023 - status updated to 'refused'. Passport delivered with white 221g form (asking to appear for interview) 05/31/2023 - appeared for interview, did not review any documents, asked them to submit via email and gave me yellow 221g form. 06/07/2023 - called VFS Global. The case is in administrative processing, even though the CEAC website says 'refused' hoping to get an update soon!! 07/17/2023 - received email to submit passport 07/18/2023 - submitted passport 07/19/2023 - CEAC status shows” approved”, waiting for it to change to “issued” after final processing 08/01/2023 - status finally changed to issued. 08/03/2023 - got the passport delivered. Hope this helps others with the timeline of the whole process :)

April 7 - Created; April 11 - Interview (Refused), pink slip was given, passport given back, administrative processing is required; May 17 - Status Refused is switched to Administrative Processing; July 12 - have sent e-mail with status request - no response; July 19 - have sent e-mail with status request - no response; July 26 - have sent e-mail with status request - August 1 response received with information that passport was requested two months ago; August 15 - Passport submitted in drop-off office; August 16 - Update - Administrative Processing; August 16 - Issued; August 17 - Update - Issued; August 18 - Passport sent for delivery; August 19 - received

I have a misdemeanor charge that was dismissed. The case has also been vacated. June 12 - Dropbox Chennai June 19 - PP collected with white slip requesting me to attend in person interview on 3rd July. No documents requested in the white slip July 3rd - In person interview at the Chennai Consulate. Asked for certified court documents. Gave them. Issued 221g and the officer said that they would reach out to me in a weeks time. Passport returned to me at the end of the interview. Anyone else in the same situation, please do share your past experience.

I had my h1b interview in Madrid Spain on 27 March 2023(Monday).counselor officer said that your visa is approved and you will received your passport by next week.I have check the status online on 31-03-2023 and visa status was approved after 2 hours same day visa status got changed and it was refused.Then I got an email on 03-04-2023 that your cases are under administrative processing. While in interview I have given all the answer as per my DS160 and LCA. But somehow my visa is still under administrative processing 221G. I have try to contact the madrid consulate over an email but there is no reply. I dont know what will be the next phase.
