April 10th : Passport submitted on the dropbox location chennai April 19th : Passport returned with white slip 221(g) to appear for an in-person interview on May 19th May 19th : VO asked to email the latest W2 to chennaihl email address as I missed one of the W2 to bring, submitted the documents on the same day but still waiting on the email for passport submission June 2nd 2023 : US consulate reached my client in USA and enquired about the project details and my client responded in the same day. June 8th 2023: I have been requested to drop the passports to the nearest VAC location. June 16th 2023: my visa status changed to Issued from refused in the below link. https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx June 21st 2023: Received the passport with stamped visa.

Sharing my Timeline below, as it took 107 days to get my passport after 221g blue slip for H1B: Mar 02: H1B interview New Delhi + 221g Blue slip received Jun 09: Case updated for first time + Ppt submission email Jun 12: Passport submitted VAC Delhi Jun 13: Status changed to Approved Jun 14: Status changed to Issued Jun 16: Passport received

we had attended on 6th Dec 2022 for H1b fresh visa t the Mumbai consulate. The passport was returned back on 6th Dec 2022 without a stamp. Instead I got a 221g yellow slip which has the following ticked: additional document need to submit for administration process.I have received document from petitioner on 25th Apr 2023. And i have submitted all document on 03rd May 2023 and got mail from [email protected]. But status still is not changed and Case Last Updated: 21-Dec-2022

18-Apr-2023: In-person appointment 20-Apr-2023: After discussing with company HR/lawyers submitted the requested documents at [email protected]. Immediately got an automated acknowledgement email. Case Last Updated: 01-May-2023 04-May-2023 15-May-2023

i was given a 221g green slip on October 28th. no documents were asked/requested and my passport was given back to me. my case was updated on November 2nd, 7th and 10th, however no more updates have been given since.  we applied for a G1 visa however i’m not the principle holder. i am only a dependent. i have been stranded here for two months now and i’ve been struggling to find other people who have been given a 221g with the same visa category. it seems that 221g’s are most common in K visas or spouse visas. was wondering if anyone has had the same experience. 221g got approved March 16 2023. Currently residing in the United States.

Third year phd student in experimental physics. Returned home to apply for my F1 visa, had not been back since undergrad. Interview was smooth, questioned slightly about my work which involves lasers, but then I was asked for my CV/list of publications which I didn't have. In turn, VO told me I was under AP and handed me a yellow slip, told me to submit my CV, PI's CV, research statement, proof of admission and funding online. Assuming I am under AP due to TAL. Interview: 04/03/2023 Documents Submitted: 04/03/2023 First update: 04/28/2023 (Refused under Administrative processing) Second Update: 04/29/2023 (Same) I expected to hear back about submitting my passport pretty soon after the two updates, but no luck as of yet. Fingers crossed, I am missing a lot of research currently.

Interview Scheduled Date: 12/23/2022 Received 221g with Yellow Slip Documents Submitted Date: 13/01/2023 Current Status :Refused Sent Project Description document as requested to [email protected] however still the application is in refused status.

Nov. 24th 2021: Interviewed, they gave me a yellow slip, and sent me a questionnaire thing asking for additional info form the past 15 years. I answered their questions and sent them back the same day. Sept. 2nd 2022: they asked me to return my passport as soon as possible so they can continue the process. "Upon receipt of your passport, your case will be reviewed in its entirety to ensure your eligibility for the visa." Sept 20th 2022: Passport was sent to the US embassy. Sept 26th 2022: Status was changed from "Refused" to "Approved". Sept 28th 2022: Status changed from "Approved" to "Refused" again! Sept 29th 2022: I got this email from them, "Upon receipt of your passport, the new information was available to the consular officer on your case. The consular officer determined that you are subject to administrative processing again. Your application is now under administrative processing."
