221(G) Tracker

I applyed for B2 visa After interview given 221(g) Yellow slip written Case number an Admin process. Handover by telling need additional time to go through your application . Waiting for Consular Decision. I want to know how much time it will take to make Consulate Decision on my 221(g) case. When i check my case status my 221(g) case number its showing issued but when i check status with DS-160 Application No its showing Refused.

Background - MS and PhD in materials engineering. Research field is listed in TAL (2002 version). No previous 221(g). 16th December 2022 - Dropbox appointment for F1 visa renewal 21st December 2022 - Application received 21st December 2022 (5:00PM) - Refused with long text 22nd December 2022 - Email from Chennai consulate asking for a summary of my current work and it's applications - submitted on 23rd December 2022 27th December 2022 - Change in "case last updated" but still showing refused 28th December 2022 - Passport delivered with 221(g) requesting to appear for an interview at the Chennai consulate on 19th January 2023 19th January 2023 - Short, pleasant interview about research. Given 221(g) pink slip asking for documents. VO kept passport. 19th January 2023 - Submitted CV, research summary, list of publications, etc. Received auto response. 9th February 2023 (21 calendar days) - Case approved 10th February 2023 - Visa issued 11th February 2023 - Passport with visa delivered

15 Mar 2022 - drop box appointment 25 Mar 2022 - I received an email to pick up my passport and was given a 221g white slip and asked to come for in-person interview with some court records in the past. The case was dismissed but I was asked to provide the necessary documents. 31 Mar 2022 - Appointment for in-person interview at Mumbai consulate and provided all the documents I had. The officer took one document and said this should be enough and gave another 221g which said my case will be under further administrative processing. I did not hear anything back until September. 29 Sept 2022 - Filed for mandamus 23 Nov 2022 - Received email from mumbai797 to submit court documents again. 6 Dec 2022 - My lawyer responded to [email protected] with the relevant documents. Received an auto response. 29 Dec 2022- Received another email from mumbai797 to submit another proof of case dismissal. Did not receive an auto response. 20 Jan 2023 - Passport submission email 1 Feb 2023 - Issued

Probably in 221g due to prior travels to Iran and Iraq. Was asked to submit CV and List of Publications, Letter of Invitation, Letters of Recommendation and List of References via e-mail. Classes start on February 20th, so it's starting to get close...

Dual German-Iranian citizenship, research field potentially in the TAL, history of approved US Visa and prior stays in the US, also a history of US Visa refusals 9/9/22 -> interview in Frankfurt Was asked to wait for further administrative processing until notified - no additional documents were requested. Update: on 9/27/22 received an email to submit the research plan for the postdoc job and the CV/resume of the advisors. Submitted via email on 9/28/22. Followed up via email and the receipt was acknowledged on 10/12/22. Still waiting... Update: On 12/2/2022 filed a writ of Mandamus lawsuit at a federal court Update (1/21/2023): on 1/19/23 case updated, on 1/20/23 email received from the US consulate asking for passports Until 1/24/2023 -> refused 1/25/2023 -> approved 1/26/2023 -> issued

After my dropbox submission (Dec 16th 2022), i have attended interview at New Delhi consulate (Jan 3rd 2023) based on embassy request and got 221g to send additional documents for administrative processing. I have submitted the requested documents on Jan 6th through email. In the following week, I got an email (Jan 10th) to submit my passport and submitted on Jan 12th. Yesterday (Jan 18th), I got an email to pick up.   After collecting passport, I noticed another 221g yellow slip in the passport. Given slip doesn’t specify any document. I am wondering whether I need to submit any missing documents ? Anyone with similar experience, could you please guide me?

1. Visa interview for B1/B2 at Calgary, Canada on 26th May, Visa officer told have sufficient information to grant a visa, collected passport and told passport shall be dispatched within a week 2. Within 45 min of the interview, received a mail that my visa is refused for ongoing administrative processing, asked for my resume/CV (I am doing PhD-Chemistry) 3. Received another email the next day (27th May) seeking the advisor's CV. Submitted within an hour 4. Received another email within the next hour of submission of advisor CV that my visa document (passport) is being dispatched. 5. Received passport in the mail (31st May) without any stamp rather, a yellow slip of administrating processing placed inside it (with all the checkboxes seeking additional document being cut out with a single pen mark). 6. No update on the CEAC website and it still shows 'Refused' with the last status update date of 26th May. 7. Case update on 20th June 8. Visa issued on 28 June.

First time H1b stamping : standard questions. VO said visa approved but cannot find case in PIMS. Said passport will be delivered in 2 weeks. However, received DS5535 on same day and passport returned 3 days later. Interview Date : 20 Sep 2022 DS5535 submission : 26 Sep 2022 Status change : 7 Dec 2022 : Refused -> Admin Processing Request for passport : 8 Dec 2022 Sent passport : 19 Dec 2022 Received passport with visa : 16 Jan 2022

Fiance is from Ecuador and we filed for i129f in May of 2021. Interview in Bogota (have been living in Colombia) embassy on Nov 1st. A verbal approval was given by the officer during the interview but he said "you may hear from me in the coming days about the format of your birth certificate". No slip was given. About 10 days later we received an email to provide physical and scanned copies of a different format of birth certificate from Ecuador. They kept her passport so she had to have a family member obtain the new BC in Ecuador. We scanned and sent the new BC on Nov 14th and DHL'd the physical copy on Nov 15th. On Nov 28th the embassy confirmed they received the documents. Still haven't heard anything as of Dec 14th. We have a 9 month old baby together (baby has US passport due to us filing a consular report of birth abroad) and feel the whole situation is ridiculous.
