221(G) Tracker

Interviewed on 7th Jan for H1B/H4, Blue slip given, told to look out form DS5535 in email Received that form same day, filled and sent back On 20th March, status changed to admin processing On 21th March, Received called at home to submit passport at the embassy, visa issued same day and was emailed by Amerex to pick up the passport.

Interview was good, asked mostly about my work and officer asked for my passport and resume and told me I will have to wait. On Feb 1st I got email asking me to submit employment letter which I submitted same day. Feb 4thI got passport back with yellow slip saying wait for email guidance. It's been over a month now and I am stuck in Canada. Timeline 1/26/2022 - Interview 2/1/2022 - CEAC Status changed to refused & Received email to submit employment verification letter 2/4/2022 - Passport returned without stamp 3/3/2022 - Passport Requested. 3/4/2022 - Passport Send via mail. 3/7/2022 - Administrative Processing. 3/11/2022 - Issued Good luck to all!

Appeared for H1B and H4 visa interview with my wife. Received 221g (white slip). Asked to submit additional document via email. Here is our timeline: Nov 29, 2021: Visa Interview (put under 221g/administrative processing) Nov 29,2021: Received email to submit additional document (CV/Resume of primary applicant) Nov 29, 2021: Submitted Resume Nov 29, 2021: Case Status: Refused (both H1B and H4) Feb 02, 2022: Received email to submit passport and DS-160 confirmation page Feb 02, 2022: Submitted passport for myself (H1B) Feb 03, 2022: Submitted passport for wife (H4) Feb 05, 2022: Case Status: Administrative Processing (both H1B and H4) Feb 07, 2022: Case Status: Issued (only for H4) Feb 08, 2022: Wife's passport received with H4 visa issued Feb 11, 2022: Case Status: Application Received (for H1B) Feb 14, 2022: Case Status: Administrative Processing (for H1B) Feb 15, 2022: Case Status: Issued (for H1B) Feb 16, 2022: Passport received with H1B visa issued

Attended the visa interview on 11 of jan 2021. The officer only asked me about purpose of travel, then started typing for a little bit and handed me the 221(g) refusal slip which states additional administrative processing is required. To fill the DS5535 and to submit 3 extra documents, personal CV, letter from employer with job description, work plans. Status updates: 9 Feb 2022: Received email form embassy to submit my passport, the visa status on the website still shows as Refused, sent passport same day. 14 Feb 2022: Visa status on website turned to Administrative Processing. 15 Feb 2022: Visa status on website is now "Issued"

VO asked questions about position, salary, location and highest level of education and then handed 221g green slip stating administrative processing is needed and returned passport and I797. I have not received any updates yet.

24th January 2022- Interview Was asked about my host's CV and research plan, sent those the same day. Followed up with the embassy next week, was told that will take 90 days. Emailed them again the following week, got the passport request on 11 Feb 2022. I followed https://www.argovisa.com/ videos on how to contact the Visa officer, Anyone facing a 221G, please email them in a respectful manner regularly.. like every week or so. VO are also human beings and they do understand applicants concerns and requests.

At date of interview (1/11) was told, "congratulations, your visa has been approved". There was no slip given and no information given about when to collect passport. On the CEAC website, the case is under administrative processing since the date of the interview with no other updates. 2/4/22- Visa status changed to issued
