I appeared to the US Counselor - Hyderabad Embassy on May 30th, 2019 for VISA interview and given White Slip asking for Additional Evidence.
May 30, 2019: Had VISA Interview and received 221 G white slip.
4th June 2019: Our Client Got Email requesting Project Details.
10th June 2019: Client has responded to the email by providing.
28th June 2019: I got an email asking to submit the Passport
28th June 2019: Submitted the Passport along with 221g slip and email confirmation.
2nd July 2019: Status Updated to Approve
3rd July 2019: Got another email to collect the passport from VAC.

I had two rounds of Interview, first with a US officer and then with an Indian officer.
They verified all the documents I had and then issued a 221G blue slip with just one box checked: Your application is refused for administrative processing

02/15 - OFC
02/19 - Visa interview at Mumbai Consulate. VO asked basic questions like client name, salary, highest education. Then he asked if I have something from the client. I handed over the client letter. he issued me yellow slip asking for the same documents like client letter, offer letter, SOW, etc.
02/21 - Submitted all the documents. Got an automated reply.
03/04 - Case status date updated on CEAC site. Not sure if client verification was done.
04/18 - It's been 8 weeks and I still did not get any update. The case last updated date is still Mar-04.
05/27 - No updates yet. It's been more than 90 days and still waiting for an update. I can see visa getting approved for people with interview dates in Mar and April as well on this site. I am not sure where my case is stuck. I tried calling and emailing US Travel docs a few times and got a same standard response every time. Any suggestions/advises/ pointers anyone?
7/8 - Still no updates.

I am an Electronics Engineer with an approved I-140 since 2014. Since than I have renewed my visa 3 times with no problems.
The visa officer asked normal set of questions. Then he issued me a pink slip with request for documents. When I said that I have all the documents with me available as print outs, he said that he cannot accept hard copies and needs only soft copies.

28/5 - Received passport with 221(g) blue slip
30/5 - Attended interview and received 221(g) pink slip requesting resume, publications etc.

1/7 - First Update
2/7 - Visa issued
3/7 - Passport origination scan
I did not receive acknowledgement for the documents sent via email at all. I was very worried initially but kept calling/emailing support team and requested them to escalate the issue to the consulate. Finally, NVC (+1 603-334-0888) confirmed that the documents have been received.
I guess the acknowledgement doesn't matter.

And the wait begins ...
21 Dec'18 -- 20 Jun'19 - Zero update in CEAC website. Sent 30+ emails to ustraveldocs and consulate address. Same reply --- its in AP, can't expedite, and can't predict timeline. Requested two US senators and one congressman to nudge my application; they got same reply
21 Jun'19 - Received email from consulate to submit passport. CEAC date updated; status in AP
24 Jun'19 - CEAC date updated; status in AP
25 Jun'19 - CEAC date updated; status in AP
27 Jun'19 - CEAC status changed to issued in morning; received email to collect passport around noon; collected passport in afternoon
Total wait time: 6 months and 8 days!
