I have been living in US for last 8 years with I-140 approved. This might be my 5th interview to get the visa stamped. Never had any issue before. First time drop box. Started with a drop box then called for an interview and at the end asked to fill DS-5535. I came for the summer vacation to India and got stuck now. Kids have their school (6th and 2nd graders) starting on August 7th. If I don't get the visa approved before that, their school year will be in jeopardy.
I have been reading different experiences from different people with similar situation. If anyone has any input to request the authority on behalf of my kids educational impact, I really appreciate.

During the interview process the VO asked about my salary and LCA.
Unfortunately I didn't carry the LCA. The VO spoke to someone inside and got back to me with a white slip ticked box 2 and returned the passport. Saying wait till I hear back with the case number.
It says " your application requires additional administrative processing before a final decision can be made"
Now I'm wondering if this is usual and how long the processing takes in such scenarios?
This is a Fulltime work with the employer.

Status is pending and case last updated has changed.
Update 3:
Status is issued , updated yesterday, should receive in 10 working days.

Got my passport with Visa stamp.

Hi All,
I received 221g blue slip from Chennai consulate and passport kept with VO,. This is my 1st h1 stamping (f1 to h1).
visa interview :June 28th 2019
VO asked basic questions like who is emp, salary, place of work, client, client letter, vendor letter, and asked university which i graduated from, and she asked me that "have you been out of status or have't paid the SEVIS fee when ur in f1 ? (i am not been out of status in my f1 visa) later she issue 221g blue slip having checked admin processing not additional documents required.
Any faced same situation? when can i expect to get it clear? any insight please

Hey,
Anyone know how soon one need to submit passport after receiving email from the consulate? Is there a timeline? Can I submit three weeks later? Anyone in this situation? Please share.
I am in H1 extension. Applied for visa through Dropbox option.
05/19/2019 - submitted documents through Dropbox
05/20/2019 - received email to make appointment for interview
05/30/2018 - went for interview, basic questions asked. I made several rentries into the US due to business travels. Asked about that and the VO said need additional processing and gave white slip. All my documents returned
06/25/2019 - received email to submit passport for further processing. Not sure what further processing means. Is the case approved or not?. Why add confusion.
Now I can’t travel and submit documents due to personal reasons for next three weeks. Wondering any of you guys were in similar situation. Also, what does further processing mean... can I assume application process is complete at this point?

VISA interview in Mumbai-9/Oct/2018.
Interviewer asked me-
1. What is your company name. I told him my company name. His response was- Is it a real company?
. I said, yes Sir. My company is US based and established since past 10 yrs.His response was- Let me check the details.
2. When he was checking details, i said i can show your taxes paid by my company and my last 10 years tax payment documents. But interviewer ignored my statements.
3. After reading on his computer Interviewer said- Is it your 2nd stamping with same employer?
I said- Yes Sir.
4. He asked- my client, my job responsibilities and my qualification.
I answered all and he made notes
5.When interviewer making notes, i showed him my approved I-797
6.Interviewer said- We'd need to investigate your employers details,so pl.send me the list of all the documents and wrote Yellow slip.
7.I told him,my kids education might hamper. He said,this process will take 4 weeks & didn't take pp.submitted all docs.BUT No response yet

Interview Date:02-AUG-2018 and VO given 221 G without mention any thing on 221G form, also they kept my passport, after 20 days they returned my passport without stamping. However after 18 days I got a call from consular office and they asked few questions later they asked me to submit the required documents.
Documents submitted on 22-AUG-2018 but no updates yet.
I observed that on 24-APR-2019 my I-129 case status in “USCIS” changed from Approved Status to "Department of State Sent Case to USCIS For Review", but https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status. Administration Process and case last update date 02-AUG-2018.
Anyone can please share me your experience and what would be the scope on my 221g.
