I am a chemical engineer working in oil & gas sector.
He handed me 221(g) blue slip(resume etc)
I sent the mail on same day..got automated reply ....and then an email after 3 hours that they want more detailed info.
I sent mail again on same day..received reply next day to elaborate my day to day activities at job.
I replied on 13th with detailed info.
I guess my profile hit TAL.
Waiting since then ...status showing AP.
09/05 - After frustrating wait of almost two months got mail to submit my passport.
13/05 - VISA ISSUED.
15/05 - RECEIVED PASSPORTS.MY VISA FOR 1 YEAR.DAUGHTER'S FOR 10 YEARS.
ALL THE BEST EVERYONE.

2nd May - Applying for second E3 visa. Had visa interview, all went well, normal questions, very friendly VO. At the end the VO said "i intend to approve your application, but we have to send you a questionnaire via email before we can continue with your application. Please send your answers back ASAP and you should have your visa issued in about 1 week." She then took my passport and that concluded the interview.
Questions came through via email about 1 hour later, and I replied with my answers within the hour.
3rd May - Checked status via CEAC, still said "Application Received".
4th May - Status still at "Application Received", but most recently updated that day.
8th May - Status updated to "Administrative Processing".
9th May - Status updated to "Issued"
13th May - Email notification that passport is ready to collect from DHL

Here are the details of my case:
+ I'm a PhD student and I visited Pakistan for a family event. My visa was set to expire in a month so I decided to renew it before I leave
+ Interviewed on 4/22/2019. I was given a white 221G form for administrative processing at the end of the interview
+ Got an email to submit travel history and other information 2 hours after the interview (DS-5535) - (4/22/2019)
+ I submitted my filled DS-5535 via email reply on 4/23/2019 but status on website did not update. Neither did I get a confirmation email
+ No status changed till 5/10/2019. Case last updated showed: 4/22/2019
+ Status updated once on Friday (5/10/2019) - Still showed administrative processing
+ Status updated again on Monday (5/13/2019) - Still showed administrative processing
+ Status updated one final time on Tuesday (5/14/2019) to issued
+ Got collection email 3 hour later.
