Great experience through customs- Just got back!
Hi All,

Just got back from my trip. Flew out of Baltimore and when boarding the plane, there were customs officers checking documents. I showed them my passport and when the officer was looking through it for my visa, I told him I had my AP document (which I had safely put away in my backpack) and if he would like me to pull it out. He said no, just checking, and let me go. Not sure why they were checking on the way out, but they did.

Spent 10 wonderful days in Mexico with the family and warm weather and came back on Sunday.

At the ticket counter in Mexico, the lady asked for my passport and visa first since the reservations were under my name. She took the documents and was looking super intense at her computer and taking a while; I started to get nervous. After a few minutes, she told me our reservations had been screwed up but not to worry she had fixed them and bumped us up a class. Gave us our boarding passes and we went on our way.

We flew into Dulles (I live in DC) on a direct flight. When we got here, we got on the "Citizens/Residents" line since families had to go together as a group. My husband went to the kiosk first, he did his thing and then we were directed to an officer for me. The officer was super nice, asked about our trip, took my fingerprints and picture and told us to go to a separate area for my stamp. We were taken to a waiting area, a different officer took my documents and told us to wait to be called. About 10 minutes later he called us back, gave me my passport and AP document back with a parole stamp for 1 year and told us to show it to an officer on our way out of the waiting area (both documents had the same stamp). I showed my passport to the officer and she told us to have a great day. That is it.

If you are thinking of applying for AP, do it. If you are granted, go. They checked your documents, saw that you are not a threat and want you back. You earned it. I know we are all nervous and scared but it was worth every penny and every nervous moment. There are no guarantees in life but if I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a heartbeat.

Good luck everyone!!!

Marriage based AP processing time???
Hey everyone,

Our case received 1/19/2018
Fingerprints recorded 2/16/2018
Case status "case received"
National benefit center
It's a marriage based application with 485, 765 all together.

Anyone has any idea when would I receive my AP?
It's been 78 days and they haven't updated my case status yet...why is that?
I have a family emergency and need to lease US in May, what should I do without AP?

Thanks in advance!
Wish everybody good luck!

DACA traveling with AP
Hi so I am a DACA recipient and I am considering to apply for the first time for Advance Parole to my home country of Jamaica. My grandfather is dying from cancer and I would like to visit him. I started the process of gathering information before submitting for the AP but unfortunately didn't receive the supporting documents to prove humanitarian reasons until September 2017. I was terrified to even try to continue with the process seeing all the travel bans and things that followed but now after reading this thread I'm starting to become encouraged. I came into this country 25 years ago and failed to get legal entry. I have to leave in order to adjust my status.

Has any Daca recipients on here applied for Advance Parole for the first after September 5 2017 and was approved?

Has anyone actually travel back to New York from there home country with AP ? If so how was your experience?

Does your Advance Parole document have a date ?

DACA-AP-AOS
Hi guys!! So my case has gone a lot faster than I expected!

I am in Phoenix, AZ and have filed for AOS here. My applications were the usual; I-485, I-130a, I-693, I-864, & I-765.

01/19/2018 PD
02/12/2018 Biometrics appointment
04/02/18 interview letter received
05/08/2018 interview

Not sure why or how it went so fast, but I am super thankful. If anyone can give share their experience with interview here in AZ. I am married to USC, we have been together for ten years and have two boys together who are also USC. I am set to graduate from Arizona State University that same day of my interview. I also work for a prosecutor's office. I have had DACA since 2012 and have always renewed on time so I never lost the protection since it was implemented.

EAD Approved
Hi all,

I barely post on this forum but trust me I open it every day and read through all the experiences, it gives me hope that things are moving forward now talking about my case finally after waiting for around 6 months my EAD got approved. Below is the details of my case.

PD 08/22/18
I765 was sent back by mistake saying the amount was wrong, but guess what they already cashed my check ...Called USCIS and they said I-765 got separated from my package and asked me to send it again
PD for i-765 10/25/18
Biometrics 10/23/2018 for i-485 & 11/20/2018 for I-765
I-131 approved in December 2018

Called USCIS raised SR & reached out to congressman but no luck...finally contacted Ombudsman end on Feb. After a week got mail from Ombudsman office saying they will look into it. After two weeks I got mail again from Ombudsman saying USCIS approved my EAD and if I don't receive my EAD in 30 days file complain again.

Case updated on 20th March saying we mailed your card.

Now waiting for GC interview ...hopefully will get the date soon.

Just wanted to thank everyone and would like to encourage everyone to post the updates on this forum ...trust me it gives hope to people who are waiting for their case.

feel free to message me...BTW the USCIS case status still shows we received your case even though it's approved. Please create your account on the following website and enter your receipt number, it gives you updates and also shows steps taken for your case.

I-765 mailed/no update on I-131
Hello all,
I had applied for my EB1 based adjustment of status including forms 765 and 131. about 5 days ago the status on the 765 was updated to 'card in production' and to 'card was mailed' today. However, the status of the 131 still shows 'case was received.
I am wondering if they are going to send me only the EAD and not a combo card?
I used to think that the USCIS always give the combo card (wherever applied for both 765 and 131).
Has anybody else heard of this happening that they approve only one case and not the other?
Any suggestions what I can do? I need to travel to my country (India) soon and in the absence of the AP card, this will be a problem.
Thanks for helping.

Need help for AP
Hi everyone, I need help for my case, case time line:
Filed I-140 in Sept. 2016 approved on Oct.2017
Extended stamp for L1 in Nov.2017 and valid until 2020
Filed I-485,I-765,i-131 on 02/08/2018 get USCIS received notice on 03/04/2018
Biometrics on 03/23/2018

Questions:
Can I travel internationally? I did research on USCIS official website for Advance Parol that indicated with L visa can travel but some lawyer told me that the policy has been changed in August 2017 that even with L visa will be abandoned, some one can help me to answer my question, I need emergency travel to home country (china),thanks very much.

H1B interview in Toronto - 4.5 months AP
Hello

I did my interview on 8th of November 2017 and since then I am on Administrative Processing
My status date has been updated 3 times so far
I received a couple of questions very similar to ds-5535 form but in email format on 9th March 2018.
I have responded to their questions on 12th March 2018.

Do you think it is a good sign that I received these questions after 4 months?
Could you please share your experience with me.

Thank you very much.
