Me : Said.
VO : Have you ever been to anywhere outside India.
Me : No Sir, as I have all my relatives and friends in India only, I have no one overseas.
VO : Sorry, can't give you visa this time.
Me : Okay Sir, It was not okay though :(
But its not the end of the world, he said he can't give me the visa this time, BUT I'll get it next time soon.

I have been working with American/British Companies over the past 3 years, I guess my salary I stated there was less, I am a Business Analyst/QA and the visit was really important to me for getting more business from my client, My salary is under 20k, so instead of heavy cash incentives I asked the owner of my company to reduce my commission and to increase my salary a bit high and happy to state that from now onwards I'll get a great monthly income that I never expected and will have a proper bank proof of monthly salary I'll get.
I know where I lacked, I was full of confidence, trust me guys, he took more than 15 -20 seconds to answer my rejection, he did think way more as I saw other applicants been rejected right away. I know where I lacked, I speak way fluent English, spoke less in front of him though.
I'll focus on the areas where I lacked and will be back with a bang.

I applied for B1 visa on 19-01-2014, was rejected. Below was the questions asked.

Ans: I was so tensed and nervous that even I didn't know what I was answering. I was sure that my visa will be rejected.
Second attempt:

B1 pending under Administrative Processing
Went thoroughly prepared. Thanks to immihelp. Officer was triggered by my technical background. Started typing from my seminar invitation letter into his computer. Said all is great but I need your CV in digital format. Handed white 221(g). Said earlier I send CV the quicker he would respond. Happens to almost all researchers working in the Netherlands who are from India

Got Business Visa on second attempt within one month.

B1/B2 Visa was rejected last month August 18th. Again I reapplied and Visa approved on 30th November.
Visa Rejection reason might be
• Irrelevant answer which I thought relevant at this time.
• answered very fastly due to nervousness.
Visa Approved reason might be
• My Confidence Level is very positive. Because when I was rejected, I felt I was gone and lost. Even I was told that reapplying within one month again would be rejected, So I took it as a challenge.
• Listened the questions and answered very clearly and slowly
• Explained my strong ties with my home country.
• Immihelp.
I should say based on my experience, luck factor is not playing important role to approve Business Visa.
Once again I should thank Immihelp which played important role in my visa approval.

The Visa Officer was a lady from the US and she was very polite. Following are the questions asked by the Visa Officer.
(1) What company do you work for?

(3) Are you a Software Engineer?
(4) Who are your clients?
(5) For how long are you employed with the current employer?
(6) Do you have previous work experience?
(7) How many years of previous experience?
(8) You have very less experience with your current employer. Why did they pick you to meet a high profile client like ZZZ?
(9) How long will you be staying in USA?
(10) Where are you going in the US?
She didn't ask for any other documents other than the passport. Finally she said, "Your visa is approved. Have a safe flight".
Suggestion: Be confident and answer precisely. This is enough for getting the visa approved.

My B1/B2 visa interview has been scheduled next week. My Visa was rejected on 16th Sep 2014 and reason was sahred with me section 214(b).
I want to understand the reason of denial can someone help me here.
Counselor asked me few question and i had made mistake sharing below.
Q1. Have you traveled anywhere else apart from Indian?
Ans. No
Q2. In which company you are working?
Ans. XYZ
Q3. What is your purpose of Visit?
Ans. Business meeting
Q4. Since how long you are working for your company?
Ans. 7 months
Q5. Where you were working earlier?
Ans. said wrong name. I had mentioned XYZ company name in DS160 form and said ABC. this was the mistake i had made as per my knowledge.
Q6. What is your highest qualification?
Ans. B.Tech Computer engineering
Q7. When you have completed your highest qualification?
Ans. In 2010
Q8. From where you did your highest qualification?
Ans. Correct answer
Q9. Since how long you are working for your company? (again repeated same question)
Ans. 7 months
