Hello to all,
I am the new register person here,
just need some kind of the helpful information regarding to B1 visa.
i am still working in Afghanistan in Dyncorp International Company , supporting to ( ISAF ).
I been in this company almost 2 years and 6 month .
next some of the month i am coming back to home . i still have a valid ( LOA ) letter of authorization its come from State army.
i want to start some kind of the bossiness in back to my home .
is i am able to get a B! visa ? even there is no relative
Please suggest me here .

B1 Visa Status for Kolkata Consulate
My bio-metric happened 11/3 and interview on 12/3........my pick up and delivery address in 31 Jasmine tower.Kolkata......but when I am checking the status in https://ceac.state.gov as 'Administrative processing".when I can get my passport?

US B1 visa approved
I went for my interview @ us delhi embassy. Lots of people have come for interview today. Around 200 i could see clearly. Mostly were tourist visa i believe. Parents whose children were in US were seeking for visa. Prior to me 2 such families were denied visa My turn was 3rd , after seeing that i was little nervous. But their was an indian officer so thought might work for me. But officer performed her duties till the time she is not satisfied by my answers.
Interview Experience
The whole interview lasted upto 5 min. It was a long interview where in the lady officer (indo-american) asked many many questions up till the time she is not satisfied with the answers.
Eye contact should be maintained throughout the interview ( she even said to the previous candidates) and good formal dressing is very must (observation)

US VISA (B1) interview and 221g blue slip experience
1. After applying for US B1 VISA (by company's corporate agent), my biometric appointment was on day 1, there they took my photograph and finger prints.
2. consulate interview was on day 3, attended it, they asked few questions.
a) where am I working (he checked my application and he answered himself, and I just said " yes ".
b) why am I going....I answered "training".
c) what is my salary in India
d) how long is the training.
e) how many are going? (2 other colleagues were coming with me)
and the counsellor replied "your VISA has been approved, have a good day"

After 2 hr, I received a call from couselate (why because, because of length in Surname, in my surname two letters were missing due to printing mistake and hence they are not able to stamp me the VISA. but I have already travelled with the same passport to Indonesia, Kuwait and Bahrain) and they given me a blue slip with my passport and it was mentioned in it "observation in passport of full name or new passport with full name".
4. I checked with Indian passport authority and they replied " observation cannot be made because they have stopped it fromm 2012.
5. so I applied for new passport and within 3 days I received it.
6. I submitted my new passport, old passport and blue slip at embassy and after only 2 days I received the VISA.

Rational for Business VISA(B1/B2) rejection?
Today I was rejected US business visa, the reason cited was that I do not have travel experience.
What does this means?
Will my travel to any other country on business or pleasure will be considered as travel experience? (...as it will mean some visa stamping on my passport).
Can someone help me on my above queries so that I can fix it and re apply.

I can say its all about your luck to get the counter where simple questions were asked.. i have seen counter where they were asking so much of questions for 5 to 10 mins..
Here is the questions asked for me by a lady VO which lasts for just 2-3 mins.
1. What is the Purpose of travel? To participate in the Business meetings and discussions with our customer YYYY in the state YYY for one of the upcoming project in the ZZZ domain.
2. Which company you are working for?
3. How many years of experience you have in this company?
4. Which state you are travelling?
5. Are you married?
6. What tie up do u have with your home country? My family is here. so i will come back ASAP.
7. Do u have any property here? Yes, i have.
8. What property? I have ZZZ, YYY properties.
All i can say is be prepared for best case and worst case questions. Do more homeworks, prepare answers for more questions, it will help you to thro the interview.

DS 160 SHOWING APPLICATION ERROR
Hi,
I had submitted my DS160 application successfully from Dubai with my travel date as of 28-Mar-2014 and paid my MRV fees as well, but i got my interview date only on 27-Mar-2014 .....I had contacted the US Visa call centre and they had asked me to do another new DS160 form with new travel date which i had mentioned 25-Apr-2014....Upon completing my new form and after uploading my photo i get an ApplICATION ERROR AS BELOW:
Application Error
An unexpected error has occurred while processing your previous request. The error has been reported to the site administrator; no further action is required. To retrieve your DS-160 application, please enter your Application ID.
Please advice the reason for this as they had asked me to submit the new form and provide them with new Application #.
Please advice.

Marriage date & Marriage registration date is different
I'm going to apply for B1 visa. I got married last year, i did not register my marriage during that time.I'm registering my marriage this week. If they ask me the marriage date in interview which marriage date i should say? or i can say both the dates and explain them?
