At what stage is my file.
Is it being processed and what is the normal time to finalise.

Hi Guys, I have given my bio metrics on 2nd July and till today no update further for student visa in Canada. Could guys help me in understanding why is the delay and is there a web page to check the status of the same?

Passport submission
Hi,
I submitted my application for a temporary resident visa (TRV/visitor visa). I am an Indian national on F1 visa in the US.
My timeline is as follows:
Application submitted : 20th May
Biometrics request: 22 May
Biometrics done: 19 June
Passport request: 27 June
However, I was travelling in Montana in July and was advised to carry my passport along since the place I was staying was very close to the Canada border. So, I decided to mail my passport after I return. But when I returned, I realized that my passport submission date had already expired. I am worried since I did not send my passport on time, my visa will be rejected.
Does anyone have any ideas as to what can be done?

Visitor visa from USA
This forum has helped me a lot already. I want to share my case as well: Applied for canadian visitor visa on July 3rd 2019, biometrics on July 19th 2019. No correspondence from CIC since. It was for a work trip, and i am supposed to be flying out on Aug 4th. Any hopes for my case? Indian passport holder here.

After that, I have got no update on my application. The eligibility review has not started yet. The normal processing time in US is 3 weeks, but it is almost 4 weeks. My start date of the job is Aug 5, and it seems there is no way to get my permit before that.
I am a Chinese citizen. I wonder whether this is relevant.
