Does someone have the experience of submitting two packages to the New York vac due to missing documents in the initial package?. Does the vac halt processing applications when an applicant submit additional documents. I don't understand why the vac Is taking months to join documents together

10 Dec: Applied Online
11 Dec: I was asked to submit my biometrics
12 Dec: Submitted Biometrics
17 Dec: I was asked to submit my passport
18 Dec: My passport was delivered (NYC)
20 Dec: received an email: Visa application, tracking ID No. YYYY XX has been dispatched to the IRCC Office
21 Dec: Visa application, tracking ID No YYYY ZZZ is under process at the IRCC Office.
21 Dec: Visa application, tracking ID No. YYYY ZZZ – Your processed decision envelope has been dispatched from the IRCC Office, on 2018-12-21 XX:XX:XX PM GMT Standard Time to the Canada Visa Application Centre in USA, New York
22 Dec: Visa application, tracking ID No. YYYY XX - An envelope of your decision that has been processed has been sent from the IRCC office, on the date to the Canadian Visa Application Center at Canada Visa Application Centre, New York.
23 Dec: Status updated in the portal with the expiry date of the visa
23 Dec: In the tracking portal it said that my passport is ready for collection
24 Dec: Visa application, tracking ID No. YYYY ZZZ – Your processed decision envelope has been collected from the Canada Visa Application Centre in Canada Visa Application Centre
25 Dec: NOTHING
26 Dec: My return package started showing activity.. Hopefully it will arrive tomorrow

Total : 17 Days

I am getting same message form 22nd Dec while checking my tracking status:

Visa application, tracking ID No. YYYY YYYY YYYY ZZZ has been dispatched to the IRCC Office, on 2018/12/22 for processing.

Is anyone in same situation?

I got an email from VFS that my processed decision envelope has been collected on 22nd Dec from Canada Visa Application Centre New York but still I don’t see any activity on my prepaid UPS return envelope tracking number. Is anyone else also facing the same issue. Upon calling the UPS customer care they are saying they can’t help as of now as they haven’t received the package as of now as once they receive they immidiately activate it.

Is anyone else also facing the same issue, who got a similar email from. VFS last week. I am really worried about my passport.

I sent my passports on 12/19 and it was receive by NY office on 12/20. When I called the VFS customer service number on 12/24 they told me that it may take more than 3 weeks for tracking number and stamping process completion.

When I read the posts here, I felt like people are getting stamping done within 2 weeks.

Could you please share your suggestions or scenarios?

On page 4 of consent form, what did you guys write for the two biometric sections. Biometrics is not applicable to Asia yet so I wrote n/a but as there is no way to communicate with the VAC I am wondering if that is causing delay

here is my experience:

Nov 29 (Thursday, afternoon): Online Application Submitted
Dec 06 (Thursday) : Original Passport Request
Dec 10 (Monday, morning) : Documents received at Ottawa
Dec 17 (Monday) : Visa Approved online (Counterfoil generated updated online)
Dec 20 (Thursday) : Passport Dispatched by Ottawa IRCC
Dec 21 (Friday) : Passport received by me

Hi,
I have sent a UPS return envelope in the initial package. However, when I check the TTService tracking application website, I receive this message: Your processed decision envelope has been received at the Canada Visa Application Centre in , on 2018/12/22 2018/12/22 and is ready for collection between (Indicate respective VAC collection timings).
Is it an automatic message for all applications? or did they lose my return envelope?

I have sent my passport on 7th dec and it received it on 11th dec.
On 20th I got a mail that my passport was collected from VFS NY, but i dont have any update from Fedex yet( i used a return envelope of fedex to ship my passport back to me). I dint see any tracking on my fedex shipment and I contacted fedex lot many times but they couldn’t trace it and now I am in a terrible situation not knowing where my passport is.
How much time does vfs take to send back your passport back after it is stamped or after your get an update that its been collected.
Does VFS ship it at all or is it still with VFS... any one had similar experience or in similar situation..?

Some of us here have our passports sitting without further action in the NY or LA VACs. If the VAC submits our passport to the Embassy after Dec 31, will we be required to apply for biometrics? The requirement for biometrics for Asia comes into effect then. Is it applicable to Transit Visas? (It is surely applicable to Visitor Visa)
