New card being produced!
OMG!!! Can’t believe. I was crying yesterday bad and was too depressed because of the increase in processing time recently.
New card is being produced for EAD, no update on any other application yet.
But I am finally sooooooo happy.
No expedite, no congressional equity, no ombudsman enquiry.

All the best to everyone. You will get it soon.
Thank you everyone for helping me pass this journey.

Day 224
It's day 224 since my I765 got received, and day 36 after a congressional expedite got approved for the application.
Yesterday, the congressman's office received email saying "We have requested the file be reviewed by an officer, once reviewed your constituent should receive a decision or notice of other action." in regards to the followup we previously sent on Feb 6th.
Well... looks like it's still at request stage and not "assigned", I don't know how many additional days it will take... I feel so stressed and start to wake up 5am in the morning everyday now :(
Anyways... anyone has similar followup experience with congressman?

Back to work!
Hi Everyone!

I finally received my EAD card, and was able to resume work this week. This was a crazy stressful period, but I am so thankful for this forum and the unconditional support from my family and employer.

Timeline:
May 28, 2019: I-765 and I-131 filed
Nov 21, 2019: Outside normal processing time. Requested a case status inquiry.
Nov 22, 2019- December 6th, 2019: Travelled outside the country. Received an RFE for on our I-131. We (our lawyer) responded to the RFE on Jan 24 requesting withdrawal from I-131, stating we will be refiling at a later date.
Nov 27, 2019: Response to case status inquiry, asked us to wait for 60 days.
Jan 27, 2020: No update on case status inquiry after 60 days. Talked to USCIS Tier 2 officer, but no luck there. Requested ANOTHER case status inquiry.
Jan 27, 2020: Reached out my local congresswoman's office. Filled the privacy release form.
Jan 31, 2020: Last day of work :(
Feb 5, 2020: Follow-up with congresswoman office
Feb 10, 2020: Response from congresswoman office stating that a USCIS is looking at my case and I should expect a response in 10-14 days.
Feb 13, 2020: Received the following response on the 2nd case status inquiry: "U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records show that your case is currently pending adjudication. However, we have had to perform additional reviews on your case, and this has caused a longer processing time."
Feb 14, 2020: The day of updates! I-131 case status changed to 'case denied'. This was expected as we requested a withdrawal and refiling. Same day the I-765 status changed to approved and that the card is being produced.
Feb 18- Feb 20: Received the I-765 Approval Notice, I-131 Denial Notice.
Feb 22, 2020: Received the EAD card
Feb 25, 2020: BACK TO WORK !

Jan 31st- Feb 25th: Lots of netflix, naps, snacking and home projects. I was extremely stressed until my last working day- no sleep, not eating well etc. But, after that I decided there is no point in wasting my time crying and brooding over this, and might as well make use of the free time I have.

I definitely think this was a combination of timing and congresswoman's input(the office was great with communication with USCIS and response to follow-ups).

Good luck to everyone! Eventhough this process is so stressful and annoying, it all works out in the end.

I was an NBC filer and my field office is Boston. All went well with no RFE. The whole process seems to have been fairly quick. I'm so happy the wait is over and my wife and I can now start to de-stress.

If anyone has any questions let me know.

Good luck to everyone, it takes time but you will all get there. Keep positive and good things will come.
