WAC wait time decreased
According to https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/ the wait time for California has decreased to 6-7.5 months. That's a month's decrease compared to earlier 🤞

I-765 question
Any help would be appreciated!
We sent the i-765 application USCIS Lockbox Texas. They received it on January January 22,2020.
We received the Notice with the receipt number but it is sent from the Vermont USCIS center NOT Texas, although we have a Houston TX address on the application.
The Notice date is January 24,2020 but the wait times for Vermont are the longest in the country. Texas center had 3weeks-5months wait time, Vermont has 6MONYHS- 8MONTHS.
Does anyone know why the file is not processed in Texas?
We are losing all hope that this will get resolved in a timely manner :(

Thank you all!

SSC
Just a heads up for anyone getting a SSC and has an expired foreign passport
I am from Venezuela and all the consulates and embassies have closed here in the US, my passport expired in 2015 and I have no way of renewing it.
Anyways, had to go to the SSA to get my SSC because it was never mailed to me, even though we did check for that in the original I 765. I read online where it said you must have a valid, unexpired foreign passport so I was nervous and took my original birth certificate that I have, notarized and translated.
As expected the first agent did point out my passport was expired, I explained the situation, he got me to another agent.
She basically mostly used my birth certificate and only looked at the picture in my passport, so all was fine and I should get the SSC in the mail in 2 weeks.

Finally L2 EAD card in hand!!
Hi guys,

At last, after 6 months of a wait got my L2 EAD delivered from Vermont SC.

Timelines: RD 08-28-2019

08-26-2019 - Couriered L2EAD docs to USCIS from Dallas.
09-02-2019 - Received a text msg with the receipt number. (On checking status, RD was 08-28-2019)
09-07-2019 - Received receipt notice via mail.
02-20-2020 - New card being produced.
02-21-2020 - Case was approved
02-22-2020 - Card was mailed
02-25-2020 - Approval notice via mail.
02-27-2020 - Received card via mail (no update on the tracking number in the case status, called USCIS and got the tracking number)

No expedite was raised, I did call USCIS 2 times to check on status after 4 months of wait and after 5 months called to raise concern on the sequence of the process(as oct cases were approved with July and Aug filers waiting).

Thanks to this forum for all the concerns and queries being addressed by each other, in fact, we did make a lot of virtual friends :-)

Disclaimer: Planning to buy a locker to keep the EAD safe, as it is my 6 months of earning!!! :-P

L2 Renewal - Vermont - sad news
Hello All,

I’ve been following for a while now, I am an L2 and have applied for a renewal. Our expires this upcoming end of March 2020. Back last August when I applied for my EAD renewal I was thinking I would get another EAD for 2 years (our visa can get extended). But to my surprise, I got my EAD today and it is only valid for one month ( until my visa expires). I am beyond sad and my heart has fallen to my stomach.

My renewal letter say something along “use this tear off to speed your application for extension or replacement”. I don’t know if this is something that will get me an extension as soon as my visa is approved next month or it is just something standard printed on all document.

If anyone has gone through this, can you please share.

My time line.

Feb 20 card is being produced
Feb 27 card in hand
