Waiting for EAD
I’m a F2B applicant, filed i-765, I-485, I-130 on Sep 26, 2018. Lives in Texas.
Did fingerprint on Nov 1, 2018.
Today is 7 months and 10 days since receipt date. Nothing has changed. Status still says Received application in Sep 26, 2018. My I-485 says Fingerprint fees received.
I have job offer that i might lose soon if i don’t get my work permit in a month from now. (which will probably happen now)
I filed a SR recently and no replies.
Is anybody in similar situation as me? or anybody has gotten their EAD and how long did it take u to get an update?
I’m very worried and stressed right now as i ll lose a lot of what i ve worked for if i don’t get my EAS soon.

I am tired of this process
I am just tired of this whole process.
-Married to my husabnd 2017
-Put in first ead paperwork early august 2017
-Waited for 9 MONTHS for ead (it came may 2018)!!
-Ead expires may 2019 so put in paperwork for renewal march 2019
-Called uscis and found out application was missing /untraceable
-Put in new application but havent still got receipt for new application
-Yesterday got letter from my work place stating they are about to let me go due to not having ead renewed

I feel like i am moving in cycles....waiting, getting something, waiting, getting another something etc. Like the immigration process is so depressing and can really eat into your soul. Am just really tired

5 Important questions for all of us
Hi friends!

The only thing that keep me hopeful these days is reading your comments in this forum. I am bringing up 5 questions that I believe many of you have them in your mind too. Please help me learning their answers:

1) My current I-485 status is "ready to schedule an interview". Looks like I am one of those with a significant date difference between this status and "interview was scheduled". On visa bulletin, a case like mine is Current. However, no one knows how much longer I have to wait for the interview. In case, due to a backlog or something, my case becomes Not Current in future, what should I do? I have my EAD/AP but if my case becomes not current, can I still file for renewal of my EAD/AP? Current-ness of an I-485 is important for the time of interview not just at the time of filing right? Is that also the measure for EAD/AP issuance then?

2) Those of you who had a chance to talk to a tier 2 USCIS officer, could you understand in anyway what the reason for this prolonged EAD/AP issuance is? I cannot understand why processing of the I-485 has followed a timeline similar to its past but only EAD/AP processing part of it has a backlog now.

3) Does anyone know why the marriage-based filers get a faster processing than the employment-based filers? The current policies by the this current administration should be more in favor of the employment-based filers, isn't it? I am really confused!

4) When we file for EAD/AP renewal, do we need to go through another biometric appointment or we just file a simpler package for renewal and only wait to receive the new card?

5) Form I-693 that I have is signed in Mar 2019. It is valid until Mar 2021, right? What if the USCIS form becomes updated in its website? Do we need to have another medical examination signed form in that case?

Thank you all! Hope to hear good approval news from your cases here! Let the hope keep springing!

EAD Delayed L1 expiring
Hi friends, thanks for all your inputs in this forum. My details below:
EB1C Oct 2017 filer India
i140 approved Oct 2018
GC interview March 2019
EAD/AP renewal applied Jan 2019 (180 day auto extn till July 22nd) NBC
L-1A expiry June 30th
Question - shall I exit country to renew L-1A or renew it in country or just wait for EAD ?
June 30th Driving license also expires. After July 22, I can work but cant get salary, so back dated pay can be given ?
Ideally if EAD AP comes before June 30th then I'm good, all will fall in place, but that's only 55 days away. Pls advise

Is case expedite only for the primary applicant?
The tier 2 officer expedited my ead request cause its been over 8 months since application has been pending and 5 service requests unanswered.

My case status changed to new card is being produced today(on a saturday), i was told by the officer that the expedite will be for both applications me and my wife's as we filed it together.

My wife's status hasn't changed yet, does it mean that only my case got expedited and we would need to raise another expedite request for my wife?

EAD with receipt date July 20, 2018 filed at NBC
Just wondering if anyone received their EAD filed at NBC for employment-based with pending I485. It is almost 10 months but still no movement even if I requested to expedite my EAD.

Card is being produced
Finallyy!! After 214 days of wait, I saw ‘New card is being produced’ today.
Hi guys
Just a shout out to all Oct filers to keep their hopes high.
Adjusting from B1/B2. Married to USC. Cali filer.
Timeline below:

Oct 1- I765 and I130 Case received
Oct 4- I485 Fingerprint fee was received
Mar 6- I485 Ready to Schedule Interview
Mar 20- First SR for I765. No response
Apr 24- Second SR for I765. No response
Apr 29- Expedite request for I765 based on financial hardship
Apr 30- Received the usual 3 updates for expedite request. No proofs requested.
May 3- New card is being produced for I765

I honestly don’t know if my case got approved in the normal processing line or if the expedite request made a difference.

Good luck to everyone.
