EAD Marriage Based - California
Hi everyone,

I've been silently reading all the posts and decided to put my case out here, so one more data point.

RD: December 13th
Fingerprint: January 11th
NBC and Local field office in Oakland, CA
Marriage based case

Current status of my EAD is "case received" and "fingerprint fee received" (or similar) and no more updates. So far, 113 days and waiting.

According to an agent in the Oakland office, it should take about 90 days from when I took my fingerprint, which means April 11th it should be ready. But reading all the posts here there is a chance that I don't get it as soon.

My questions are: Given the fact that the status is still the above, does it mean they might not be processing my case yet? Does anyone have read/heard of anything like this and what were the outcomes? Can I do anything about it?

SorryForTheRant
*Rant Alert*
196 days. I submitted my case 196 days ago and haven't received a single update in the past 115 days (p/d September 21st)
I never expected this process to be this difficult. It has truly been the most frustrating time of my life. Not knowing what is going on or when I will be receive my EAD is driving me crazy. I truly do not know what I can do at this point. I've contacted my local congressman's office (who have actually been very helpful). I've contacted USCIS multiple times on the phone which is just a waste of time.
I raised a SR about 3.5 weeks ago and was supposed to hear back by April 1st and I've heard nothing. Since I raised the SR USCIS have pushed back the SR date *twice*, meanwhile people who their p/d is 2-3 months later receive theirs.
To anyone who is reading this and in the same boat as me just know you are not alone. Finding this forum has shown me that there are others sitting inside waiting just like me. Hopefully soon I will be posting some good news.
Sorry for the rant, but I just had to get this off my chest.
Hope you all have a great weekend & get good news soon!

L2 EAD - Early Jan filer
Hello folks,

Any December/January L2 EAD renewal filers here? Did any of you get your L2 EAD renewal approved? I applied on Jan09-2019 but haven't received any update. It's going to be almost 3 months now. When I had applied, California Service Centre has 2- 5 months timeline but current timelines have gone up to 3.5 to 5.5 months.

After reading on multiple posts, I've figured that L2 EAD process cannot be expedited but is there anything that I can do to get this application move any faster? My current EAD is going to expire soon and I am at a risk to lose my job. Any tips to get this process move any faster or how to handle/communicate with my employer in this case would be really appreciated.

SSN
Hey guys, I already have my GC in hands.

BUT, for those people who are getting the GC before EAD. Go right away to your local social security office and put the request. When I ask for mine the lady told me that USCIS didn’t make the request for my social.

Is because they put that request when the EAD is approved. That’s the reason they didn’t.

So I need to wait for my SSN another week or two.

Hope this help to you guys.

USCIS automated phone helpful tip
So I know how frustrating it is to figure out which number to put in to reach an agent to talk when you call USCIS. I've found that it is easiest to put 1, 1, 2, 2, and then it will ask you to input your receipt number and after that you will be put on hold to speak to an agent.

September 28 filer- Still nothing
I'm also September 28th filer (I765 - NBC, I130, I485) but still nothing.
Luckily I was able to file the "outside normal times processing" request before they extended the case processing dates. I had another EAD and After I got married I filled a new I765 and the existing one expired a month ago(Mar 6) and I have been asked to leave work same day to wait without getting any income. I am having the most difficult time right now.

Can someone please help in on what to do here please?????????

I wanted to call the office and ask for Expedited processing but I'm afraid that it will be affected it I do.
