Nov 9 2018 filer .. my son got his card a week ago and nothing has been updated for me yet even tho we filed together, I’m the one that need to work.. this process will drive u up the wall if you let it ..but I’m praying sometime this week

When to expect
For the one who already got their EAD, how long after the notification « card is being produced » did you get the « card is being mailed » it’s been already 5 days for me and was supposed to start my job on Monday but they want me to physically have it first, ugh.

EAD card renewal
I'm on a J2 visa, I applied for EAD card in October 2018, it got approved in January 2019 but I didn't receive the card till mid March 2019. Since I'm on a J2 visa, the EAD card only valid till April 2019 (the end of the DS form I applied with) I applied for a renewal with the new DS form (valid till April 2020) and visited the info pass office which suggested applying for an expedite for sever financial loss. The expedite got denied because J2 visa can't sponsor J1 visa holder, so there shouldn't be a financial loss.
It's the USCIS error in the first place, if they sent the card in January when it got approved I would have had enough time to renew. Is there any recommendations that can help with this case. I have a job offer and don's want to lose it.

- Case received 11/09/18
- Biometric (already rescheduled because goverment shutdown) 12/26/18
- Case is ready to be rescheduled 01/02/19
- New card is produced 03/14/19
- Card mailed out 03/18/19
- Received both ssn and card 03/22/19
I filled 130, 485, 765
I asked my lawyer how long it will take for the interview and they said it takes 3 months maximum. Im not sure.
Do you know how much time left to wait for the interview and after the interview to receive a gc ? Tysm

My lawyer says that this is normal and fine, however it seems like I’ve moved back a step? Has anyone had a similar experience?

May 25 receive notice of action
June 12 receive appointment for biometrics
June 18 biometrics appointment
June 23 fingerprint reviewed
Oct 15 USCIS send RFE for I-140
Oct 29 USCIS received my answer for RFE
Nov 7 I-140 was approved
March 25: new card being produce for i-765.
I waited 11 months to get approval for work permit. My question is do you guys know if it will be combo card? Since I didn’t receive any notification regarding my travel documents. Only for work permit.
