L2 EAD pending for 5+ months
Hello,

Anyone who filed for EAD renewal in Sep, california center, has received EAD yet?
I filed on 19 Sep, cat a(18). Yesterday I received email that a letter for additional evidence is mailed by USCIS. Does anyone know how soon do they process EAD after I respond to the RFE?

Thanks,

Received EAD card
Received EAD card after 210 days of waiting. NBC. Contacted just Congressman 10 days ago, don't know if he helped, thank him anyway. Called 10x officer to check a case status, don't know if that helped. Prayed to God. Think He did the most, thanked Him. Now to move on and the thing around. Good luck to everyone, just have faith. Love you all!
Best wishes.

AUGUST FILER _ EAD APPROVED
So the PD for EAD was August 30th. Case status update was emailed and card being produced as of yesterday.

We did contact Ombudsman about 2-3 weeks ago and they said they had sent an email to USCIS to enquire about our case, never got another email after that. Maybe that brought our case to the attention of the processor? Cannot be sure but i would suggest contacting them if you have been waiting since August.

Next to wait for our interview for c9 category GC.

E3-D EAD Timeline (Australian L1 Equivalent) VSC
Hi guys,

This forum has been super helpful to me as I endured the long wait for my EAD. Therefore I thought I'd add my timeline on in case it helps reassure anyone. We were told initially it would take 3 months. Lawyer then revised this up to 5-6 months in Dec. Total time from filing to receiving the card in the mail - 4.5 months.

Service Centre - Vermont (Filed from NYC)
Category - E3-D Visa, I-765

My timeline:

October 6th 2017 - Receipt Notice
Jan 3rd - Response to SR 1 - "Currently in line for processing"
Jan 8th - Response to SR 2 - "Expedite request denied"
Jan 30th - Contacted Ombudsman
Jan 30th - Contacted Vermont Service Centre directly via email
Jan 31st - Response to SR 3 - "Case has been assigned to an Officer and is currently being processed"
Feb 6th - Response to Vermont Centre email: Request to expedite denied
Feb 7th - Online status updated to: "Card being produced"
Feb 12th - EAD card received in mail

Total: 129 days

A few thoughts from me:

- It's important to always ask to speak to an Level 2 officer as they will have more information and suggestions than the L1 officers when you call. No-one ever refused to transfer me.

- The L2 officer can give you the direct email address for your service centre which is helpful, although whether it sped up my application I'm uncertain, given their response was 'expedition request denied'

- The ombudsman did get back to me within a good time frame however I received my card before they contacted USCIS so in my case they didn't help.

- Make sure you start chasing from 75 days as in my case I didn't realise I could until 90 days.

- Overall I think mine was just processed as per their queue. As frustrating it all is, I don't think it's easy at all to speed things up and we are at the mercy of the processing centre.

- Expedite requests have strict criteria which can be found here. Job offer is not one of them: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/expedite-criteria

- This website shows processing times. Ignore the date listed at the top, speaking to an officer it shows the dates per the time it was last updated, which is listed at the bottom of the page: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDisplayInit.do

Hope that helps reassure someone. It's a horrible process but rest assured it will work out eventually!

Waiting for EAD.. 96th day..
Hi all,

Case received 11/13, Potomac center, F1 new OPT.

I have literally waiting for any status update from past two weeks, raised SR, heard back in two days with additional time to process as it is in line with an officer to review.

Anyone has link or article for the pattern and set with which USCIS process their cases?, I have been unable to figure it out.
People who applied after me seems to have got already, I am getting depressed day by day. I have postponed my joining already ..

Thanks .

161 days and counting....
Hello,

We've been waiting to hear anything for 161 days.

PD: 09/07/2017

I just checked today and our 4th SR was finally assigned to an officer on 02/12/18 and it says that the same day was completed. What does that means? We have not received anything in the mail.

Is that a good sign? I see that the case processing times have updated to OCT 1st and Im extremely concerned as my PD is September 7th.

Thanks and good luck to all of us!

EAD received
Hi everyone,

I thank all of you for your helpful suggestions throughout.

Here is my timeline
PD: 8th Nov 2017
Jan 29th : contacted congressman and ombudsman
Feb 7: card is in production
Feb 15; card received in mail

The status still shows “card is being produced”. Please do reach out to USCIS for tracking number. Website is not updating status.

For expedition, definitely try everything at your disposal : service request, infopass, congressman and ombudsman.

For those who want to know how many days it takes to receive card after your case is approved, I would say it takes 7-8 days.

All the best to everyone!
