Who has more power? a congressman or a ombudsman?
Hi everybody! I have filled my application for work authorization and I-485 more than 145 days ago. I contacted my congressman(Texas) a month ago and a week after that I got an RFE(USCIS lost some of my documents so I had to send them again). My congressman says that she can't contact USCIS within 30-45 days after they got my RFE back - they got it within a week after I got RFE from them. So, I contacted the ombudsman 3 days ago. Today I got an email from him saying that he made an inquiry about my case. Does ombudsman have more power than a congressman? If so, how long on average should I wait till I hear something from USCIS?

Logged into my wife's USCIS account today and found it had the following update:

On February 8, 2018, your Form I-765, Application for Employment Authorization , Receipt Number WAC YYYY YYYY XX, was transferred to another USCIS office. That office now has jurisdiction over your case. We sent you a notice that explains why we moved your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your notice by March 10, 2018, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
I'm not sure what to make of this update? I'm assuming they do this to help increase the efficiency of the workload/processing? Has anyone else experienced this & can some shed some light on what the next steps normally are following a status change like this?

What did the August fillers did wrong to NBC
Good morning to all, please can someone explain to me what we August fillers did wrong to this **** NBC, this is getting unbearable for me, have done everything possible, the obudmus or whatever told me my case has been resolved still nothing to show for it, I call stupid customer care number and talk to one rude lever 2 officer telling I got so much service request for that his confused and I should continue wait and hang up on me, today is 193days, I'm really losing my damn mind, most October and September even some November all got there EAD can u see this shit, and they keep lieing to people they process the case as they receive them, I am really **** tired of this usic game

When EAD should be expected if the same is filed along with ( 131 /485 /140 / 765 ) On Oct 2? Shouldnt i have received it by now ?
I see many threads and i see people have received it but not sure whats the hold up in my case.
Would really like if any guidance here > ?
My Service center is Texas. on EB1(3).

New Card Being Produced means nothing.
Hello guys, just to update every one... i have had my new card being produced since the begining of nov 2017 and still it says new card being produced as of feb 8 2018. my attorney have done a SR and only update given to him is that it will take time. I already recieved my EAD approval letter in the mail but never got the actual Card. My case is with Vermont.
This sucks ! but there is nothing else we can do besides waiting and praying.

I've been on this website a lot of times after I applied for i485 and i765. I've been so anxious when my ead was taking long and all I did was come here and just read and it gave me so much peace.
Anyways, I wanted to share my journey with you and help you guys out as you did me.
