Helpful Links:
1) Service Request: https://egov.uscis.gov/e-request/displayONPTForm.do;jsessionid=abcZ1Teq1_CynbjTFxXfw?entryPoint=init&sroPageType=onpt
2) Congressman : Find who is the congressman in your area and then you can fill form on their website
3) Ombudsman: https://www.dhs.gov/case-assistance

Suggestions: 1) Do reach out to Ombudsman and Congressman with all the job offers and if possible, letter from the Employer.
2) Do not just sit and wait. Start taking actions from day 75 (specially Nebraska and Vermont filers)
3) Contact employer and ask if they can raise a expedite request with Congressman on your behalf, Employers/Companies also have contacts with Congressman. (I was not aware about this, the Visa/Immigration department of my company also helped)
4) Apply 180 days in advance because 90 days is not a guaranteed time period now (This was my mistake as I applied only 100 days in advance)
5) Before reaching out to Ombudsman, you should have reached out to Congressman, raised service and expedite requests. Ombudsman form requires you to provide Request Ids.
6) Also Fax documents to Ombudsman and Congressman
 7) Service requests do not provide any help. Reach Congressman and Ombudsman

NBC.... AKA ... NEVER BRINGING CARDS

Sometimes I wish the workers at NBC could experience the pain they are putting us through. I wish they could experience the pain of losing jobs not having money and basically getting treated like a criminal for just wanting a card to begin working.

I HATE NBC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OPT Application-EAD Waiting
Hello, i just contacted USCIS in my 77th day of application. They said it is going to be another 2-3 months or so since they're processing September 17 applications by today. I received my job offer on December 1st, got 2 certifications through my future employer, and also they gave my name to the US Naval Air Base for the upcoming construction. They're asking about the card almost in daily basis now, and after today's response I have no idea what to tell them. I am not doing anything but waiting since mid December, I graduated, I cannot work, experiencing severe money issues (I have $10 left in my account, depending on the tax back from last year that I did internship for the summer so I can live...maybe).

I am in severe depression, and thinking about really bad stuff happening to me, I am probably going to lose this job and when the card comes it will leave me maximum of 1 month to find a job if i am lucky.

If you guys are curious about the dating, my application is in process since November 22, 2017 and again, since I did OPT after my undergrad, and received my card in 80 days, I have been telling the company that late Feb. or beginning of March it should be available. I am in the United States for 5 years now, I have all my friends here I basically grew up here and have a relationship for 3 years that we were planning to get married. If we elope and get married ASAP, I am still going to need 5-6 months to be able to work, I feel like I'm i prison, if I go back to my country I will be forced to do my military service since I cannot delay anymore, and ruin my 3 year relationship that I want to last forever. I am literally in deep depression right now, I'd like to hear from someone to cope with this.

NBC
Hi All,

Called again today, raised 2nd SR. Was told that NBC has a big backlog and still busy with apps from September 1st.

How long do you think Congressman would take to reply and if so what exactly do they do for us? Expedite our cases?
