My timeline
Sharing my experience since since I've learned so much from this thread:
April 24 - Priority Date
May 22 - Biometrics
(then silence)
July 22 - Put in a service request
July 24 (90th day) - Called my congressman and senator to ask for their help
July 31 - Received notification that my card is being produced
Tips:
1. Call USCIS to put in a service request. This flags to them that your application is approaching the prescribed deadline of 90 days. Since it was so difficult to talk to a person when I called USCIS (you're usually limited to listening to a pre-recorded message), I pretended to be buying one of their forms just so I can get connected to a person. Apparently, all concerns are sent to a pool of call center agents, regardless of the concern.
2. Reach out to your congressman and senator. I was pleasantly surprised at how responsive their offices were about my request. They will ask you to fill up a privacy waiver. They got back to me in just a matter of days with an update on my application. The staff of my congressman told me that USCIS tends to act faster when they know a congressman is monitoring a certain application. I'm not sure how true that is but I believe reaching out to public officials is worth a shot.

Card in Production
USCIS said that my new card is being produced as of July 31. Around how long will it take before I receive my EAD? I applied in Newark NJ. Thanks!

processing speed is different on different catagories
I believe they do have different priorities on different categories of EAD application.
Marriage based, first priority
Student, second
Some others, third
Asylum, sorry, no one care you.

hello guys
i encountered an issue today on my EAD.
,Precisely on the 20th JULY, my status changed to " YOUR CARD IS IN PRODUCTION".after waiting for some days all i got was the approval letter but no EAD afterwards. today i checked my status to see if it was mailed to me and all i saw was "JULY 31ST, NEW CARD BEEN PRODUCED"
am shocked by that statement on my status.has anybody witnessed such deceit of what?. THE UPDATE FROM 20TH JULY "YOUR CARD IS IN PRODUCTION" AND TODAY I CHECKED MY UPDATE I SAW JULY 31ST" NEW CARD IS IN PRODUCTION"...........AM CONFUSED, i never received any card,why new card in production?.....WAS IT THAT USCIS LIED ON MY UPDATE?

My PD 03/23/2017[renewal] and my status "case was received" 130 days already
Did several e-requests and phone calls contacted ombudsman everything is useless.
Nebraska Center processing times showing that they processing March 2 cases that is unbelievable.
My last e-request was July 24 So i'm waiting they response.
Hope status will change soon. Good luck everyone!

Expedite request based on emergency and financial crisis last week and still not assigned to an officer for review!!!!

Hi all, This is my timeline for EAD renewal
PD: May 4
Card in production: July 21
Card mailed: July 26
Card received: July 29
It is a time consuming process but it is also important to remember that
they do not update at every step..So basically you get an update at 5% and then
at 95 %.. So please be patient. All the best guys
