Process EAD
Hi guys, I went today to USCIS office and I wanted to share the information I was provided .
This is for cases based on marriage. He explained that the USC is the petitioner, the form I485 is tied to that request and the form I 765 most known as EAD is a benefit from it which is a process done by National Benefit Center. He said that once they receive the application they check that everything what they need is there if not then they place the case on stand by and send a request for initial evidence . Once they recieve the RFE then they start working on the case again since that day they give a estimate time of 90 days ( he said that 90 days is only an average number due some cases can take longer than that ) most likely at the end of the 90 days they approve the EAD and a week after we get the card on the mail. He said that the very thing the check is criminal and background record that why biometrics is send right away. Once the applicant has passed it then he or she is ready for an interview from that day depending on the state where the applicant live can take from 2 months to more. For example I live in Tucson so we don't have too many applicants as NYC so my waiting period should be less than big cities. We said also that every case is different so it hard to compare with another but that is the way the system work. I hope this information is helpful as it was to me.
Best luck to all of us in this process.

EAD application filed on May
I want to share my timeline with you guys, and see if you have similar timeline with me

I mailed my I765 I130 I 485 concurrently to Chicago Mailbox, and MSC received it on 5/2, I've done Biometric on 5/30.

Since then, I haven't received any updates from MSC, I raised a SR two days, it still shows the job hasn't assigned to process. I called their customer service, the representative told me I have to wait 15 days for their response. Once the waiting time passed 90 days, I should call them again and submit a different request.

I'm currently working with my F1 OPT, it will expire on 7/29. If I cannot receive EAD before that date, I guess I have to use unpaid leave.

I really hate waiting, I think the EAD process is getting very slow right now, probably too many applications?

Am I the worst one in wating I-765?
I guess I am the worst one in this forum

Here is my time line.
Mar/1, I-765 was received by NSC.
Apr/12, finish Biometric
    silent..........

Jun/23, I raised a SR saying "why it's so slow?"
    silent again.........

Jul/19, finally got an email reply, saying "Your case is currently under review by an officer. You should receive a decision, correspondence or notice of other action within 60 days of the date of this letter."

I've already wait 141 days, and they told me to wait another 60 days....
The status in USCIS website always say "Fingerprint Fee Was Received" since day 1.

EAD based on pending asylum
I have weird news for you guys. OK, my case is USCIS received my I765 on May 11...I have to wait 150 days to be eligible to apply for EAD. Asylum (c8).
Today is the 69 days since I applied for the EAD and the case still " was received"
Raised expedite request 10 days ago and heard nothing. SO !!

I WENT TO THE USCIS in Seattle today and was apple to meet with immigration officer
he pulled up the information and he SAYS " damn in your case it should be a maximum

of 30 days to get because you already have to wait for 6 moths so they allow you to apply " " Ead based on Asylum (c8) should be prior " Then he said wait a minute lemme check from different system page " Then he checked and says " yours is done but is

waiting for someone to sign them " then he went " yours and others are done but waiting for someone to sign them and hopefully it's not in the shelf and that person is in vacation" ...
I don't know how should I feel about this ? it seems like people are enjoying their vacations while our dreams are in the shelf ...I might lose a job offer if i don't start within a week....I feel hopeless ...the company sent me a massage today saying that they been waiting for me for 3 weeks and if I don't start working by next Wednesday , they will cancel their offer..the job is a good job and it's in downtown Seattle

I765 filed concurrently with I485 - April 18,2017 still case was received
Hi Everyone
I have been silently observing from last 1 month this EAD experience page and I do have to say that visiting this page here everyday do give you hope and a belief that no matter how worse time is, good time is coming.
I would like to share my case timeline with you guys.
April 18: Case Received by USCIS
April 28: I797 Notice received by mail
May 13: Biometiric Appointment
July 3: I raised service request
July 17: I went to my congressman office
July 19: I called USCIS customer service to check status of my Service Request as I have not got any response. Now they said someone did responded to it on 18 july, but as I have not got any response and the issue was found to be that when i raised service request they misspelled one letter on my email id. Now the USCIS customer service agent cannot look what response was and can only look they did responded.

In the mean time, She said as it is 92 days now and case is outside the normal processing time of 90 days, She can raise an another service request. And an another service request was created today with the assurance that you will get a response soon. Maximum time for them to respond is again 30 days and if i do not get response by then and my EAD is not approved I can give them a call again and can ask for expedite may be.
Hope I get my EAD soon and can get my life going.

Thanks
