First time applied L2 EAD (spouse of L1B) approved in 91 Days
USCIS received my application on 27th Dec 2019
On 27th Mar 2020 i.e. today, the status got updated to "New Card is being produced"

Vermont Service Centre.

Totally unexpected, I was mentally prepared to receive it in 4-5 months, but I guess due to the offices being closed for other activities like bio-metrics etc, the process of EAD approvals have sped up. Just wanted to share this update with everyone here, I am sure most of the folks will start getting theirs as well! Cheers :)

EAD was approved 2 months ago and still NO Card
Hi Guys,

L2 visa, EAD, applied to California Center

Almost 8 months I'm waiting for the EAD card.

Almost 2 months ago I finally received the Approval Notice.
But currently, I still waiting for the card and I haven't any idea why it takes so long time. I tried to apply the request to USCIS that I didn't receive a card by mail but I saw this:

"NOTE: Do not submit a request if you have just recently been approved, allow approximately 120 days to receive your new card. You can check the status of your case using the My Case Status Tool. If Case Status Online indicates that the card was mailed, you should be provided with a United States Postal Service tracking number."

My current status: Case Was Approved

Somebody had the same situation?
Or maybe you could share some info about it. Thanks.

Timeline:
07/31/2019 - sent documents to USCIS California Service Center
08/02/2019 - received the notice
02/04/2020 - case status "New card is being produced"
02/05/2020 - case status "Case was approved"
02/10/2020 - received the Approval Notice

7 months now - No EAD - TSC - RD 08/26/2019
Hello Everyone,

It’s officially 7 months of waiting for my L2 EAD extension and no update :(.

I give up now and will stop to look at the status from now.

Anyway, I lost my job and the economy has been hit hard to find a new one and i would get till oct 2021 as I lost 6 months of visa already as L1 was approved from Oct 2019 with just 2 years validity .

Good luck to everyone ! Hope the best.

Ssn question
Hey guys!!
After crying blood tears for 6 months I finally got my EAD!!! WOOHOOO

But not my SSN, i know it’s normal. But I’m calling to my local ssa office and they say there’s not a number created but they just can see the cases in their offices.
My question is, i saw that the EAD came from KY, is my ssn being processed there too? Or my local office should have that info? I’m worried that they wont process it at all

When to approach ombuds or congressman?
Hi everybody,

I post this question to help others out as well.

In my case I am waiting for over 150 days on my EAD. I received an RFE and uscis response deadline of 60 days is almost over time. I have 2 job offers waiting but still can’t respond to it because of the EAD that I am waiting for.

My service center is potomac.

My taken actions to speed up the process but without succes;
- called a few times with tier 1 and tier 2 officers to see if they could tell me more on the status but you always get the same answer (information is available online etc. No news on that they can tell)
- tried to expedite the case based on job offer loss, but without success. Got denied within 24 hrs.
- the additional evidence I had to deliver for the RFE is almost the same as I initially sent in. Therefore I tried to see if I could expedite based on an error of the uscis for unnecessary delay. Also that one got denied straight.

As you can see I tried a lot to make it work but it is just useless so far.

I read about approaching an ombudsman or congressman, is this a good choice to do so? What could i say to them to help me out and to have a chance of success?

I am just loosing my hope for a good end especially these days!

Any advice? Thank you very much!
