Requested expedite for EAD, AP doc produced
I requested an expedite for EAD (I-765) on 02/21/20 and also had previously submitted for AP (I-131) assuming they would issue a combo card if approved. Today the status changed from evidence received to document produced for the I-131. I'm wondering if they only approved the AP and not the EAD?
Has anyone had a similar situation?

Can you renew your J2 EAD with a new DS2020 form or do you need a complete renewed visa stamp ...
Hi Everybody,

Shortly I have to renew my J visa with my wife. For me as a J2 I also have to extend/renew my EAD with this.

I have some questions I hope some of you can help me with:

1. Does anyone of you know what the fastest way to do this? Can you renew your EAD together with your J visa renewal?

2. In case this can’t go together, would a new DS2020 form be sufficient for the application a my EAD renewal OR do I have to file my complete new visa in my passport for this? (I ask this question because for J visa renewal I have to fly back to my home country to visit the US consulate to get a new visa stamp in my passport (right??) - if the DS2020 is enough for EAD renewal it can be done immediately, otherwise I have to wait a lot longer to renew, right after when I have my J visa renewal).

I hope you guys can help me with this! Thank you very much for answering!

286 days (nearly 9.5 months)
Hello everyone. It has taken nearly 9.5 months (286 days) to receive case approval for my EAD card. My processing center is NBC.

A few things to note.
- I made 3 service requests for the 485, 765, and 131 (all ignored), contacted the congressman, and requested assistance from the ombudsman.
- I received an RFE for my tax transcripts after 7.5 months (outside the normal processing time) after contacting my congressman for assistance. They were informed by the USCIS that RFE's (in addition to RFIE's) reset the clock as opposed to pausing the case, which would add an additional 6-8 months to the case.

Here is my timeline.

02/02/2019: PD (130)
06/01/2019: RD (485, 765, 131)
07/24/2019: Fingerprints taken
01/23/2020: RFE (tax transcripts)
02/03/2020: RFE response received
02/26/2020: Ready to schedule interview
03/03/2020: Interview scheduled
03/12/2020: 765 and 131 approved, card sent for printing

Corona and processing times
Hey folks,

Just a thought; do we think the increasing concerns around the spreading of the corona virus is going to impact USCIS and the processing of our paperwork? I wonder if the whole "minimising social interaction" is going to have less people working and processing...

Expedite
Hi guys,
Silent reader here.
I have a question on expediting. I am married to USC and awaiting EAD and GC. I have a job interview Monday, can this be a reason to try expedite EAD if I get the job offer? Just need some guidance please.

Appreciate any help
