My I-485 was approved & Green Card delivered on Sunday.
One thing I have learned is that no matter what you read here, no matter what dates & times you see on USCIS website or the Visa Bulletin, there is literally no telling how long an application will take and what steps it will go through. Sometimes the online tracker will update, sometimes it won't. Don't pin your hopes on ANY of those things.
I filed a full adjustment package and there was no movement on any of the applications (I-485, I-765, I-131) and even though I filed service requests when I could, my lawyer told me on Monday, December 18th, to expect another 8 month wait, to prepare for an interview (all employment based AOS applications are now being interviewed) and hopefully the EAD/AP would be approved some time in 2018. And then a few hours later I got a flurry of texts and notifications that my card had been ordered. I literally didn't know if it was a mistake, which card it was, and also didn't allow myself to get excited until I had the notices and card (whichever it was) in my hands. As you can tell by the title, it was my Green Card, and it arrived on Christmas Eve (which in itself is a miracle as that was a Sunday, and the day before Christmas). Best Christmas gift ever! Good luck everyone & all I can say is, no matter how frustrating it is, you've got to trust the process.

Hey Guys, its been 2 months (25 OCT) since my case was transferred to NBC but have not received a call for interview. is this normal? Is any body else in the same boat? cause I heard it takes about a month or month and a half.

Does J-supplement delay immigration process
Hi Guys,
I am planning to go independent (LLC) after 6 months of filing I-485. I got my EAD. I would submit J-supplement form to USCIS through my lawyer. I was wondering if filing J-supplement form delay I-485 process? There are quite a few people on this forum who filed J-supplement. Please share your experiences!

No biometrics yet-Texas service center
I did the concurrently filling on 11/01/2017 at Texas service center.
They received everything on 11/02/2017.
Then the system was updated as fingerprint fee was received on 11/10/2017 but i haven't received any letter for the biometrics appointment yet.
Any other with similar timeframe and no bio appointment yet?
Do i have to contact them?

IO welcomed us, swore us in and took our fingerprints. After that interview was straight forward with just basic questions asked as verify Name, DOB, SSN, Address, Job and Title. No other questions asked.
They did not look at any documents and no questions asked to my wife who had applied as derivative. We had taken 2 briefcase full of documents and none of them were asked for,
Relieved that the long journey is over.

Status changed to "name was updated" after 2 years!!!
My PD is 12/11/2013
I485 was submitted on 4th August, 2015
Rfe on my spouse case and submitted timely in December, 2015
Since then no process at all!!!
On 20th December 2017, status changed to "Name was updated"
I called tier2 IO today and was told that my case is still pending no movement.
And IO may reviewed again and may receive correspondence in the mail next few days.
I wonder what does " name was updated" mean?
It means there is some activity on my case?

Employment based green card EB1
My receipt date was 03/23/2017 for i485 and we are applying through my husband employer. We did finger print on August and received our ead and parole card. We received a letter saying that our cases are transferred to other office from Nebraska center. Now my husband and child got the interview call but I didn’t receive it. I Checked the case status for all of us and there has been no update after case transfer. I called the customer care asked them if any notice for interview is issued. But there wasn’t. Has anyone experienced this. What should I do.

I'm sharing my experience maybe this would be helpful:
My receipt date was Jan 25 2017 EB2 from Tunisia filing with Nebraska service center, my case status is still stuck at fingerprints received, I placed probably around 6 service requests since November and spoke with many level 2 immigration officers also went to an info pass appointment and no body seems to have an answer, I kept calling everyday until yesterday the level 2 immigration officer (not the customer service who answer the phone, those people don't have any clue about immigration) he was upset and told me I'm checking your notes here why you keep calling everyday, well I told him because no body is giving me an answer I will stop when you guys tell me why my case is still outside regular processing times, he said it is still pending and we have thousands of applications we will need more time, also he asked me stop placing service request as it slows down my application since everytime they have to pull my file and put it back which did not make any sense but anyway hopefully this will help applicants with similar cases.
