H1B, H4 Visa

Experiences posted in this site helped me a lot from getting tensed or not to stay in suspense. let me post me experience also.

-This is my 4th time visa extension
-2nd one from the same employer (Major US based HealthCare company) - full-time

- Submitted documents in Drop Box : 24th Oct, 2019

- Case status updated in https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx: 25th Oct, 2019

- Status updated as ADMIN PROCESSING : 29th Oct, 2019

- Got a text message on my phone from Blue dart courier with status Passport dispatched: 29th Oct, 2019

-Received passport in hand: 29th Oct, 2019 (I thought my visa is stamped). But, there was a printed page along with my passport 2nd OPTION ticked. Which says I need to attend for a consulate interview

- Attended consulate interview on: 31st Oct, 2019
questions:
1. how long are you working for this employer
2. do you know your rights in the US as Non-immigrant visa holder
3. have your visa ever denied
    answer: Yes in 2010. Officer did not disclose the reasons
VO: we need more time to process your application. I am keeping your passport. It might take up to a week.

Status updated to CEAC site on same day: ADMIN PROCESS

Status changed to ISSUED on: 4th Nov, 2019

I am writing my H1b visa experience at Mumbai location for those who are about to go for the same.
my profile below,
F1 visa 2009 : Masters from USA
1st H1b stamping 2015
2nd and latest H1b stamping.

I work in EVC model. I had all the the required documents. client letter, vendor letter, pay checks(last 6 months), W2 last 3 years, degrees and certificates. Also LCA and all the docs of H1b.

My interview timing : November 4th Monday at 8:45 AM

this is what happened at the interview,

ME: Hi Good morning.
VO: Good morning.

VO: Give me your passport and I797
ME : Sure, (Handed over)

VO: Who is your employer
ME: XYZ **** *

VO: Do you work at Client location?
ME: Yes

VO: Highest degree
ME: Masters

VO: what major?
ME: computer science

VO: is this your first H1b
ME: NO its second

VO: whats your salary?
ME: $$$$$$

VO: client name?
ME: (I was searching for client letter in the heavy folder full of documents)

VO : never mind, tell me the name
ME: ABC

VO: (The golden words) "Your visa is approved, you will get passport in 3 to 5 business days"

Gave me the brochure of H1b rights...

ME : Thank you very much.

I did not take out any documents except passport and I797...

Advise to all,
If you have all the requirement don't worry just be confident. Don't worry about what people say or the news says.

I had my visa interview for h1b on October 10th.

The VO said my visa is approved, however I received my passport back with 221g letter asking for Police Certificate. I have submitted the same with passport on October 30th. Case status last updated shows October 31st.

Would love to hear comments on this

Hi,

I've attended my H1b Interview on September 16th 2019.
Handed me a 221g and my passport was returned to me.
Got an email on October 4th 2019 to submit my passport for further processing.
Submitted my passport on October 9th and it's been close to 4 weeks since submission and there is no update in my case and still shows administrative processing.
I only see update on the last case updated date. Except that there are no updates.
While trying to track my passport I'm getting no status update available for following passport.
Can someone tell me if this is common? and anyone in similar situation. I've already postponed my ticket twice.

Hi, i booked h1b visa appointment for myself but now i want to add family in the same appointment, is that possible?

I have few more question..
1. I have 2kids (2year and 7year old), do they need to present for ofc and interview?
2. Do we need separate petition for h4 dependent’s?
3. What documents are required for h1b and h1 visa appointment?

My Biometrics is scheduled next week and the interview 3 days after.

I just checked my DS160 status online. It says "No Status". Could you please tell me what this means?

My current visa flow: F1>OPT>STEMOPT>H1B>H1B transfer FTE

This is the first time I am going to india after 5 years for stamping.

If VO asks me "Is this your 1st H1B?" What should I answer based on my scenario below.

I worked as a contractor with Company A to end Client B in OPT till I got my H1. For 1 year I worked with the same client B in H1B filed by my company A.

Recently I have converted as a Full time employee and My H1B is currently with company B.

Could someone please advise.

VO said Visa approved.

Advice: Keep your answer crisp and short. try to answer in one or two words. If required give precise answer keeping it short.

Hello group, i have question about my 221g case status.

Me and my spouse attended a H1/H4 visa interview and fingerprints, in CHENNAI, in the month of September, 2019.

We had our documents(including passports) returned back to us by the interviewing VO and were given a 221g with two case numbers(one for me, one for my spouse, i am guessing). There were some documents needed from my employer as marked by the VO as requirements in the 221g sheet, which we later emailed as requested. We also got a email confirming the receipt of the documents requested per the 221g sheet's checked boxes.

We have chosen "pick up" as the option for passport collection and the center we chose was HYDERABAD.

Now, my confusion is, when i am checking my status at (https://ceac.state.gov/ceac/), i see two different messages.

1.) If i choose "Chennai" as location, then i am seeing "Administrative processing" as the status.
2.) If i choose "Hyderabad" as location, then i am seeing "issued" as the status.

WHAT SHOULD I MAKE OUT OF THIS?

Note: We did not receive any email yet, from the consulate, asking us to mail the passports for stamping.

My Wife and I have been to calgary consulate for H1b extension stamping, we both had interview on 29th october
We both had the same questions asked.
The questions were who is your employer, what is your role and dusties, Salary, Highest level of degree and from where.

on 30th the status said issued and on 31st we had our passports ready for pick up
