today my GC case status changed to “ new card is being produced”.
wow I am happy.


my timeline is
2015 - applied for Asylum
May 2018 - asylum interview/ approved
May 2019 - applied for GC and Travel document
June 2019- biometrics
October 2019 - received TD
February 2020 - fingerprint taken
February 2021 - GC card is being produced

I subscribed for the email and phone notifications on the USCIS website, and also have a case tracker app. So I got 3 notifications.

Hey Guys,
any filer from March 2019? I sent my application in march 2019 and was received by uscis on April 10, 2019 and did my fingerprints on feb 27, 2020, since then nothing. I have sent some inquiries through my congresswoman but only got generic response that it’s within normal processing time ...bla..bla...
So tired of this painful waiting process, its been 7 years in the country and still waiting for that big day. Good luck to everyone and congratulations to lucky ones who already got their cards.

took me 8 years from the date arriving to US to having a Green Card !

File my asylum case in 2011
Case approved in 2018
file 485 in November 2019
biometrics done December 2019
Medical RFE April 2020
sent my RFE response May 2020

till now no movement on my case. Any suggestions would be really appreciated. I really need to know what should be done to finish this nightmare.

Hi my travel document was expired now I am going to renew this but I heard it can not be renew
so I have some question if some one like to anewer I will great ful
1 I have to pay fee for RTD 2nd time?
2 do I have to return expired RTD with my application ?
3 i mentioned last rtd that I wants to travel Canada but I did not travel should it make difference
NOTE MY ASYLUM I 485 pending since July 2019

If your GC is pending you do not have to pay for Travel Document. just submit evidence you have GC pending.

I never returned any of previous travel documents and had no issues.

No issue if you did not travel. I have renewed and traveled with Refugee Travel Document twice now, my third RTD is still pending.
