Hi All,
It was sheer luck I ran into this wonderful site this morning.
I hope all great people on this site will help solve or throw some light into this issue:

I filed my I-485 from NSC on June, 2001.
AP : July, 2001
EAD : August, 2001
FP : December, 2001
RD: Not received!!!

Now my question:
How long does it take to get an interview after the FP?
Is it a problem that I didn't receive the RD?
What do I do next.

Any one hears update on FP on INS phone #. ??
I havn't heard any change in messsage after my FP on 14th Feb.

POE ( PeaceOnEarth) I think ur case should be over by next month ..Do keep us informed abt ur previous experiences..

Any change in phone recording after FP and after how much time..??

POE, you can find the # on the back/front of your 485 application notice that INS send you. What you need is your case #.. The # that I contact is 402 323 7830 .

After 2 or 3 weeks of FP the msg said" Received FP report and processing resumed"

My friend RD in May but so far no intimation from INS.

Is there anyone who doesn't see change in recording .I don't see any change in recording even after abt 7weeks of FP.
Something to worry ??

Update 04/11/2002

I called FBI @304-625-5590 With A# today and the lady told me my FP was processed on Dec 11 and returned to INS the same day.
Now it is exactly 4 months today since this process completed and still haven't heard any news from INS
Any clue?
BTW can anyone give me the AVM ( Automatic voice message) number for Nebraska INS?

Any Update from any one !!!!

Finally I got FP notice.

ND - Aug'2001 , after repeated attempt I could talk to INS in last week and next day they mailed FP notice.

QUESTION: My kid does not have valid H4. If we go to India using Advance Payroll, shall we have any problem at airport during entry as my kid does not have valid H1??
Can we try to get VISA stamp for my kid at India based on my valid H1 ??
OR
I don't have to worry at all as we can get Advance payroll.
My main doubt is : me and my wife has valid H1 and my kid does not have valid H4. Can we get Advance Payroll for all of us and go out of country?? Will it create any problem at the time return to country

Call INS to talk with rep

I suggest call INS to talk with rep. It is not easy to get some one on the line but if you can reach you can ask about the status.
If you are waiting long after FP, you can ask when they will mail their decision regarding stamping on the passport.
I know many of my friends at CSC got stamped within two/three months after FP but NSC is slow. Phone call might work better. It worked for me to get FP notice. I was waiting for 10 months.

I don't find my AVM updated..after my FP on 02/14/02.
Any other cases like this ??? POEarth whats ur status ??
