Sep 15th Successful Stamping
I would like to thank the immihelp and the previous visitors who posted their experience. I would like to share the experience of successful H1B stamping in chennai last sep 15th.

immihelp website had been very useful.

A cover letter and other required documents were prepared and in addition, photo copy of the company website was taken just incase if the website is down during the interview.

List of questions asked:

1. New job?
2. Education background? Degree Certificate!
3. Years of experience
4. Company Name
5. New job role
6. New project description

Based on previous posts, couple of more questions were also taken into account and for readers, i suggest collect all questions from previous posts and prepare once.

Note: if you happen to receive offer letter, make sure u get those printed from US to avoid bond sheet logo in india. Officer checks these things to validate the documents.

Any questions, discuss with your employer to validate your responses.

Good Luck

Got my H1B visa at Chennai Consulate on 20th Sep 2005
Dear Forum Readers,

I went to the consulate today morning (sep 20th 05) 30 minutes earlier than my appointment. I have gone through all the security processes. It was pretty simple.

Then I was standing on the queue for visa interview at counter number:X. Prior to my turn the officer has rejected 4 candidates. I was not at all worried about their rejections. When my turn came I had the following conversations with the officer.

Me: Good Afternoon Sir, ( I have handed over my DS 156 and passport to the officer)
Officer: Hello,
Officer: (After 20 secs) Which company are you going to work in US?
Me: I am going to work for xxxxxxxxx Company at xxxxxx city name YYYY YYYY X State name in US.
Officer: What's your educational background?
Me: I have done my Master's in Computer Applications and Bachlor's degree in Commerce and a Diploma in Commercial Practice. Apart from that I have done several professional computer courses in information technology (SAP,Oracle financials, testing, mainframe).
Officer: Can I see your educational certificates?.
Me: Yes sure. (I handed over all my ceritificates)
Officer: Are you going to work for a client?
Me: Yes sir. I am going to work for xxxxxxx client, client city, client state and explained in detail about the project.
Officer: Are you from Trichy?
Me: No sir, I am from Coimbatore, Tamilnadu.
Officer: Oh, that's cool. Coimbatore is a nice place.
Me: Thank you sir.
Officer: Which city are you going to stay in US?
Me: I'm going to stay at xxxxxx City name and xxxxx state name in US.
Officer: All right. Go ahead and pay the fee at the counter number 1.
Me: Thank you so much sir (with a smile).

My advice for ladies: Please wear a nice cotton saree for your interview.

Thank you so much for reading this and Good luck to every one.

Shalini, CBE.
