221g administrative processing
Hi my husband had approved h1b till 2021 ..so we came India for stamping he had a interview on nov 9 2019 ..they have 221g blue slip with additional doc required...still the status shows admin processing ..we don’t know wat we do next? So anyone in same boat?

H1B first time stamping - Blue Slip
I went for my H1B stamping in Chennai on the 18th of March. It was my first H1B stamping, I was on F1 STEM OPT until October 2018.
Me: Good afternoon
VO: Good afternoon, may I have your passport? What company do you work for and what do you do?
Me: Handed my passport and told my company name/ role in the company
VO: What is your highest degree of qualification?
Me: I have a masters in MIS from --- university
VO: Repeats the university name and asks my OPT start date
Me: OPT start date was Sept 1, 2015
VO: When did you start working in company ----?
Me: Sept 28th, 2015
VO: Oh, so were you out of status for 28 days?
Me: I was never out of status
VO: Hands me the Blue slip with "Administrative processing" option checked and retained my passport
Me: How much time does it take for this?
VO: Shrugs, looks over my shoulder at the next person in line and ignores my question completely
CEAC website status:
March 18th: Administrative processing
March 25th: Last updated date changed to 25th
March 28th: Issued
I was extremely worried since my VO was not very cooperative, and was even rude to an extent, she kept asking whether I was out of status when I was not, and I calmly kept answering that I was never out of status. For a lot of F1 to H1B conversions, the blue slip is being issued. One thing that I did was call up my DSO and verified that my SEVIS record is "Completed". Best of luck to everyone!

My Case: Visa Type H1B as FTE. I also had a misdemeanor ticket for driving over 80mph, because of which I was bit scared.

26th Feb evening: Status changed to Issued
Didn't receive my passport till 3/4. So dropped an email to travel docs asking Blue dart tracking #. After 2 hours I got email with tracking details and after 10 mins got another email that my passport is ready for pickup.
In my batch of around 15 people..there were 3 H1B which got approved .. most of B1/B2 and L1 were getting rejected.

H1B, H4 dropbox experience
We are renewing our H visa for the second time so we were eligible for dropbox.
03/12: We dropped the passports and documents
03/18: received both our passports without visa stamp and were asked to come for interview between 10:30-11:00 on any working day
03/20: had interview and both visas were approved. The people outside the embassy at Mumbai consulate didn’t let my spouse enter the consulate saying the letter mentions only your name, blah blah. Once the officer told me that my visa is approved I told her that my spouse’s visa is also pending and she right away approved the H4 visa saying only H1B was blocked.
03/22: H4 visa status changed from administrative processing to issued
03/25: Passport with H4 visa received. H1B status still in administrative processing.
03/26: H1B case status date changed to 03/26
03/28: status change- H1B visa issued
Hopefully will receive the passport soon.

H1b stamping interview in Mumbai - a pleasant experience
Hi all,
I am sharing my fresh, happy experience to boost the mood of people like me here, who are nervous reading many rejection and 221g experiences on the forum.
We (2 kids, wife and me) had our H1b stamping interview today at 8.30am in Mumbai. We reached at the consulate around 15 mins late and were given faster access due to my infant kid (a year old). In the 3 levels of queues we were asked to wait for some time (to sit) and then, directly taken for finger print verification and visa interview.
The interview was quite shorter and simpler compared to what I had read here. Interview lasted for less than 3 minutes. Below was the interaction:
Q: What do you do with the company?
A: Mentioned my role and responsibility.
Q: Will you be located in your company office?
A: Yes
Q: Which location will you be working at?
A: US City of my company office
Shared pamphlet of 'Know your rights'.
Q: What will be your salary in the US?
A: Base salary $ ZZZK, total including variable $ YYYK.
Q: How long you have been married:
A: X years....
We were not asked to present any documents and then the golden words came "your visas are done".
My recommendations:
- Go prepared with list of questions available here on the site
- Present yourself confident and calm
- Keep your documents handy and well sorted to present speedily
- Keep answers short
- If you have an infant child, take him/her along with you to the interview, you will get priority treatment and the officer may find you more genuine
- Parents with infants are allowed with stroller and some baby food (though we had not carried either of it)

Anyone with F1 denied and appeared for H1 ?
Need some insight if anyone has same/similar experience.
I came to India in the mid of my second masters(Joined second masters as my OPT ended an year and half ago). I attended the F1 visa interview 4 times in the span of last1 and half months and got rejected all 4 times with 214B. Now, my H1B got approved on march 18th (Case was pending since Dec 2017) and I am going for H1 visa interview in April 1st week. I believe this is a very rare scenario and I really wish to hear if anyone has any similar or close experience.
Any knowledge on how 214B affects my upcoming H1B visa interview ?

Approved H1B petition but got 221g
Hi
I have approved H1B petition from previous employer, which was approved in 2016, But got form (221)g at the time of H1B visa stamping, Applied for H4 stamping separately and got it stamped and entered USA.
.
Few days ago i had checked my petition status and it shown as below:
"Revocation Notice Was Sent
On September 17, 2017, we revoked the approval of your case, Receipt Number , and mailed you a revocation notice. It explains the reasons for our action. Please follow the instructions in the notice and submit any requested materials. If you do not receive your revocation notice by December 6, 2017, please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."
Is my petition eligible for transfer through other employer in cap exempt?

I received 221G about 6 weeks back. I received an email on 14th March stating 'Dear Visa Applicant,
U.S. Consulate General Mumbai is pleased to report that the administrative processing is complete for the applications listed below. Please follow these steps for final processing: .....'
On 18th March I submitted my passport at the location in Mumbai. The status on the CEAC website still shows 'Administrative Processing'.
Does this mean my visa is approved? Or will they be conducting additional Admin Processing after this? Has anyone had a similar experience?
