Dropbox and fingerprints
Hey guys..
Is there anyone here who dropped passport and then later was called for interview or only fingerprints
My question is after we submit passports again when we go to embassy after getting called for interview or fingerprints after Dropbox passports return, then when will status change for passport ..
Mine still says passport has been picked up.... It should show passport with consulate/embassy now...isn't it?

Also how many hours or days does it take to convert to issued on ceac status after giving passports?

H1 - 221g Exp
Hello All,
I submitted my passport at VAC on 02/01/2018, and they asked me to collect my passport, collected on 09/01/2018 and they gave me 221g.
Appeared for the interview on 16/01/2018 and they asked me basic questions, and asked me the client letter, my client not providing the letter and i gave the Work Order from the client. Asked me wait for some more time, they called me again and asked I 797, W2 and Salary Slip. Again called me and they gave me another 221g, and its saying that "'Your application is refused for administrative processing. The application will be reconsidered when administrative processing is complete''.
They didn't give me any timeline, don't know when they will get back. Also they gave me my passport back.
Is anyone experienced the same, please give me your feedback.

VO: Did you get his pamphlet copy.

VA: Sir when can I expect my paasport back?

2nd H1B Dropbox to Interview 221g
Hello,
This is my 2nd H1b stamping. Work FT with Forbes 500, one of the famous IT company.
My First F1 to H1b was smooth and fast (VO just asked Salary and Company name).
This time i was eligible for drop box. Called for interview and given 221g. No update yet.
NOTE: before interview they gave my passport in the consulate after taking finger prints. There was small slip locator attached to my F1 visa. When i went for interview, the VO took my passport and went to other officer and discussed something before any questions asked. That time only i understood i am getting 221g.
Can anyone tell what is the time frame to get it processed? Below is the timeline
Timeline:

F1-H1 New Delhi Admin Processing
Hello - This is my first H1b. I had my interview in New Delhi on January 3. The interview was hardly a minute. I work for the state government. The VO didn't even ask for my salary. He said I can pick up my passport in a week. My case went into admin processing on Janury 3 (date of interview) and there has been no update since. I emailed the embassy and received the response below-
"Your application is refused under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act for administrative processing. After administrative processing is complete, the application will be reconsidered. U.S. immigration law requires that additional steps be completed in some cases before a file can be advanced for adjudicative review.
The Department of State is continuously working to expedite visas. Please be assured that we will contact you as soon as your case is processed to conclusion. You can also check the status of your visa online at: https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC/."
I wasn't given any slip after the interview so I am confused. Is this a generic response? I am very worried given the word "refused" in the email. Can someone please shed some light on what might be going on? Is admin processing a generic term for 221g. I'll be on leave without pay if I don't get my visa this week. First time H1b stamping

I got my H1B with Employer A in 2016 October, but i transferred my h1b to Employer B in July 2017 , planing to visit india in upcoming July 2018, wondering if there are any documents that i need to ask my previous employer(Employer A) as it is my first time stamping or i don't need anything from him.

Drop box / called for interview
Submitted documents Jan 2nd. New Delhi. Received passport back today with a white slip for an interview. No documents asked.
Any idea on what white slip really means? Does it have any significance in terms of color (blue, white, etc.)? Do I need to take any documents?

Chennai consulate, h1/h4 experience
Hi,
attended the visa interview in Chennai, consulate on Dec-21-2017 , CEAC still says "Admin processing" / "Application Received", no docs requested. As per the officer it should get cleared in 1-2 days, but no update yet.
