Hi All,
I work in the EVVC model. I have been on H1B for 12+ years with the same employer. 5th time stamping. Previous 4 stamping experiences were very smooth. My bad luck this time.
23rd Oct 2017 : Dropbox at blr location for my H1 and my wife's H4
27th Oct 2017 : passports collected with 221g blue slip inside.
Was asked to appear for interview along with a bunch of documents. Wife was not asked to appear for interview.
4th Dec 2017 : Appeared for interview. VO didn't ask many questions. Collected documents and made me wait for 30 minutes. He returned all the documents and passports with another 221g blue form with additional administrative processing checked.
4th Dec 2017 : status update date change to administrative processing.
20th Dec 2017 : Client company received the verification email from kccfpu
3rd Jan 2018 : Client replied
This whole experience has caused havoc in my life. Hopefully my family and I will get to fly back to US soon.

Stuck in Administrative Processing

Visa Interview was straightforward and VO said Visa was Approved and i should get the passport within 5-7 days. I had scheduled my flight on 12th Night since i had meetings and trainings back in US. I checked my status today and it still shows AP with Case updated date as 2nd Jan. Is anyone else stuck in similar situation as mine? Any way to expedite the process and what's the reason for delay if Visa is approved. Was not given any paper or slip during interview. I tried mailing and calling ustraveldoc people and all they say is wait.

H1b visa extension stamping @ HYD consulate : Dropbbox ( followed by biometrics and interview)
Hi All,
I had my previous H1b stamping at Hyderabad which was successful without any hassle. This time I was eligible for Drop box. I currently completed 3 years of h1 b (last October) and entered into 4thyear. My previous h1 and current h1 extension are both with the same client. I fall into Employer - Vendor - client (EVC) model. I had my Drop box scheduled on Dec 11th. I dropped of 2 photographs, my old & new passports, recent I797 ( which is H1 B extension), previous i797, and Drop box confirmation letter. On Dec 18th, I got an email from consulate to appear for biometrics and face to face interview with all the supporting documents. My interview was scheduled on Jan 3rd at 10:00am. So on Jan3rd, I went to the Embassy with all the documents and appointment confirmation letter. When I entered the embassy, I was asked to stand in a separate line for the fingerprints. Then I was asked to wait in the line for the interview. I was given the token for counter 11. The VO was a lady officer ( may be she is in her late 40’s). Here’ s how my interview went.
1. Good Morning Ma’am, how are you doing.
Ans: I am doing good. How are you doing ma’am.
2. So you work for “ YYYY ” company.
Ans: That’s correct.
3. Which state do you live?
Ans: I answered city and state, instead of just state.
4. What is your current salary?
Ans:” xxxxx” per year.
5. is your e,player planning to file green card for you?
Ans. Yes, but technically he didn’t. He is about to once I return.
6. What’s your highest degree.
Ans: Masters

**** * she was typing something on the screen, She then tried to get the white slip and writing some case number on the slip and there was nothing checked on the slip. She did not ask for any documents during the interview.
7. In which course of study did you finish masters?
Ans: I said, “xxxxx”.
As far as I remember, here are her words” your application may require some additional processing. Do follow the instructions on this slip (white slip) nd track your status with your case number or Ds 160 number. Have a good day!”.
I had lot of anxiety for the interview, but I thoroughly remember that she did not say that your application is approved or you got your visa. I was not asked for a single documents . Not i797, nor client / vendor letters .Nothing.

My guess is that admin processing is probably because my last stamp had expired in Nov but I had an approved petition. With that, I am hopeful.

I - 539 application
Hi,
I have applied for extension my visa status ( I -539), after receiving my husband's approval notice on June 12th 2017. I haven't had any update yet apart from receiving the Receipt Number. I have made several calls to the USCIS, they say it is in normal processing time. My current visa status have been expired on Nov 2017. I have applied it to the Vermont service center. Can anyone suggest me what is the processing time. i have my EAD extension applied on OCT 10th, 2017 and now it's been 90 days I haven't heard back on EAD as well. I had to quit my job because my VISA and EAD got expired. I am totally getting exhausted upon not receiving any update from USCIS. I am loosing my hope day by day after reading many experiences. Can anyone suggest me what to do to get my extension and EAD process faster.

L1B to H1B conversion
Please advise on below case.
My name is Amit and I am working in USA on L1B visa ( Wife and Son is on L2 ) since July 2015.
My L1B is about to expire on 31st March 2018.
My L1B visa was stamped in Chennai location in India.
In 2017 my company filed and got H1B approved for me and now I need to get it stamped for me and H4 for wife & son before L1B visa expires.

H4 visa stamping pending for spouse but my Kid got visa

My wife and my kid went to Bangalore Dropbox office for H4 visa stamping on 18 Dec 2017, they submitted all the required documents with passport size photo's. But my kid got his visa stamped passport on 27th December 2017 , but my wife visa went into administrative processing. Till date she hasn't got her passport and it is almost a month now.
They were planning to travel on 28 Dec 2017, but there is still no process. I email everyday to [email protected], check status using CEAC link and call USCIS help line number. But they always ask same question have u received any email from consulate and after replying no. They always tell it will take some time you have to wait. I don't know how much we have to wait. This is the biggest torture to me and my family, I have never expected this to happen with my dependents who are clueless what is happening and why this is taking so much time.
My biggest question if my Kid got via how is my wife's visa H4 is different then m kid. Please suggest what should i do and my when her visa should be ready.

221g issued @ Delhi Drop Box for H1B renewal

Dec 15: Submitted PP & covering letter (stating no I-140 is filed and the extension filed was not on basis of I-140)
CEAC site still says Admin Processing. Last update date on the site shows Dec 6, there is no update on the case since then.
