Call 221g over 3 months to share the experience
I had interview on 10/10.
-2nd H1b stamping
- 11/9 employer got call from NIV for employment verification
-11/28 site visit
-have the senator emailed to consulate, got email "In accordance with U.S. law and Department of State guidelines, action on her case has been suspended under section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA), as amended. The I-129 Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker filed on her behalf will be returned to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) with a memorandum explaining the facts of her case as presented to us at the time of her interview."
Any one have similar experiences or scusseful example, PLEASE to share.

Dropbox Delay
Hello
I had submitted my dropbox application on Jan 2, 2018. It went into Admin Processing on Jan 4, 2018. I haven't yet received any update or replies from the consulate.
Any help is appreciated ? Is anyone in this situation ?
I have applied for an extension with the same US employer.

When I went to collect the passport, I got 221 G saying "Your application requires additional administrative processing. Please follow instructions in the email."
Is anyone else in the same boat? Can anyone please guide me if they have faced similar situation? I am really tensed and worried.

221g more than 2 months now - New Delhi
I submitted the application for h1b re-stamping on 13 Oct. Got 221g for fingerprints and interview. Appeared for both on 27th at new Delhi.
Vo told me that everything looks good with the case but there might be delays in process and didn't give a clear estimate.
It's been more than 70 days now and visa tracker still shows Under Administrative processing.
Reaching out to support-india has been futile with a generic response always.
Did anyone have similar experience? Any idea on why they might be taking so much time? Any timeline estimates?

I'm on H1B since 2014. Switched to a different employer recently and filed my first extension. since I'm eligible for drop box submitted documents on December 13th at Hyderabad consulate. Got a call from consulate on December 15th asked me to come for an interview on December 28. Appeared for interview on 28
Questions Asked:
who is your employer ?
how long I have been working for new company ?
Number of employers in new company ?
what is my salary ?
Highest degree ?
Worked during OPT ?
Maintained status all the time ?
VO said there is a usual process need to be done it will take 3-5 business days nothing to worry and he mentioned it shouldn't take more than two weeks .

221g headache

I work in the EVVC model. I have been on H1B for 12+ years with the same employer. 5th time stamping. Previous 4 stamping experiences were very smooth. My bad luck this time.
23rd Oct 2017 : Dropbox at blr location for my H1 and my wife's H4
27th Oct 2017 : passports collected with 221g blue slip inside.
Was asked to appear for interview along with a bunch of documents. Wife was not asked to appear for interview.
4th Dec 2017 : Appeared for interview. VO didn't ask many questions. Collected documents and made me wait for 30 minutes. He returned all the documents and passports with another 221g blue form with additional administrative processing checked.
4th Dec 2017 : status update date change to administrative processing.
20th Dec 2017 : Client company received the verification email from kccfpu
3rd Jan 2018 : Client replied
This whole experience has caused havoc in my life. Hopefully my family and I will get to fly back to US soon.

Visa Interview was straightforward and VO said Visa was Approved and i should get the passport within 5-7 days. I had scheduled my flight on 12th Night since i had meetings and trainings back in US. I checked my status today and it still shows AP with Case updated date as 2nd Jan. Is anyone else stuck in similar situation as mine? Any way to expedite the process and what's the reason for delay if Visa is approved. Was not given any paper or slip during interview. I tried mailing and calling ustraveldoc people and all they say is wait.
