L1A in Mumbai Consulate
I went for L1A visa stamping in Mumbai consulate on 30-Nov-2017. The VO asked me two simple questions and interview lasted only for 30 seconds to 1 minute. VO told me that my visa is approved and I will receive passport in mail.
The CEAC website still shows status as AP and last update date is date of interview i.e. 11/30. I was on vacation in India and have to fly back to US this weekend and anxiously waiting for passport.

H1B visa interview at HYD
I have been going through the visa experience shared by fellow members and would like to thank them. Attended interview this morning and it was approved.

VO: Didn't your employer file for your i-140 ?
Me: They did and it was approved. Waiting for my PD to get current.

I have been on H1B for more than 10 yrs and that probably made him ask about my i-140. There was on F1 --> H1b whose case got approved too. Also, a lady applied for B1/B2 visa got her visa approved as well.

Can H-1B stamping be delayed more than 6months of petition approval
Hi all,
My H-1b petition got approved this Nov 2017 and we are getting interview dates in mid of January 2018.My wife is 7 months pregnant now and we don't want to take the risk to travel from USA to India for stamping now in this condition.
My questions are :-
1)Will there be any problem if we travel for stamping in July end 2018, which will be more than 6 months of petition approval ?
2)Will it arise any additional questions from VO for delay?
3)Will this delay have any impact on visa approval?

H1B Renewal at Mumbai Consulate
Biometrics: 11/13/2017 at 3:00 PM
I reached the center one hour early (Big Mistake), they allow to stand in Line only 15 minutes before the given time slot, so reach accordingly as there is no place to stand or sit near the Trade center building at BKC.
I made a small mistake while filling the DS 160, my passport has my given name as my First Name and Middle Name (Father’s name in my case), and in DS 160 I entered only my First Name in the Given name category.
The person checking the form asked me to change it.
There is a Cyber café in the same building, they will charge you RS 150 to make the change, they will charge additional RS 100 if you want their help in making changes to DS 160 form.
So, my DS 160 number got changed, but nothing to worry
Notify the people at the Biometric center, and they will make the necessary changes

We would like to inform you that the Consular Affairs Office is experiencing technical problems with their computer systems.
At the moment is not possible to print visas and this issue is worldwide.
As soon as we receive the clearances to print visas we will contact you so you can pick up your passport with visa personally at the Consular Section.
My status: H1B renewal stamping. VO approved on site and told me it'll be ready within a week. No update ever since. Stuck in Chile now.

I've my VISA interview as well in first week of Decemeber in Hyderabad. Learned from this experience forum that many applicants are facing 221 white, pink slips recently.
My background in short:
Previous H-1B extension denied due to University reasons. So returned back to India in late 2016, started working with same company based in India. Employer applied for my H1 again this year in general quota, with out MS degree, with 5 years of experience. It got picked and approved. Scheduled my interview based on the new I797 approval notice. 11/27 - Email from ustraveldocs that passport is ready for pickup
11/28 - Picked up passport at 11 am, Had a 221g asking me to appear for Fingerprint verification at consulate. Time window of 10.30-11.00 am
11/29 - Consulate closed
11/30 - Appeared for Fingerprint Verification. Was told passport will be ready in 2-3 biz days. CEAC status still AP. Last update date changed to 11/30
No change yet. WIll update here if I hear anything. Already changed my flight to open status. I am a Full time employee working for the last 9 years. Not sure why this much delay. Anybody have an estimate how long this will take?

H1b visa processing time at Mumbai embassy
Hello, my H1b visa interview was on 11/28/2017. Office told me the visa is approved and will be ready in 3 business days. It’s already 5 business days but my status still shows the passport is still with the embassy. Does anyone knows how long it takes now-a-days to get passport back?
