Question on biometrics
Hello everyone, have a question regarding the biometric.
My wife’s scenario is like - she applied for COS H4 to F1 in July 2020 and she has received her biometrics appointment letter today for March. This is her final semester which started in the last week of January and as per university guidelines, we have to have the COS approval before Feb 25th 2021. As we received biometrics appointment letter today, looks like we have to withdraw the cos application.
Meanwhile her H4 extension is due in June 2021, so we will go ahead and apply for H1 and H4 extensions together in a week or two.
My question here is, should we go ahead with cos biometric and withdraw it after the biometric is complete. So that it could be of help for H4 extension (will the cos biometric be considered for H4 extension?)

H1 and H4 visa
Last year I got my H1b approved from Chennai consulate.
This year I submitted passports at bangalore on Jan 22nd, on feb 8th both h1 and h4 application status changed to REFUSED.
Has anybody has gone through the same situation.
What will be the next procedure.

H1B VISA Appointment Cancelation
I had to travel to india on an emergency on October 2020. I had then requested H1B VISA appointment with Embassy for February. Today I have received the mail from Embassy that my appointment has been canceled because of presidential proclamation and I was in India during the proclamation date.
I have booked the next available date which is Nov 14 and 15. All the other slots before that are booked.
Please let me know if there's any other way to get the appointment before this date.

The reasons stated is:
- Letter from Employer confirming whether they are member of U.S chamber of commerce or a party to litigation national association of manufacturers v. DHS.
Please share if anyone has any idea about what this means and whether being a member of the same adds weightage or has a negative impact on the processing.

H1B expired and recapture, L1A and I 140
I also want to ask same question. My H1B was expired in 2014 and left with 2 months for recapture. Now i am on L1A with my current employer applying for I 140. can you please let me know if i can apply for H1B recapture by a new employer with an approved I 140 ?.
