H1B visa experience
Hi All,
I need some experienced feedback on H1B visa stamping in India (If possible HYD) with a closed/dismissed Class A misdemeanor case.
2 and half years back a case was filed by TABC on selling a beer to minor (was at wrong place at wrong time), though the case is closed/dismissed by court after paying the fine, I believe it will show up while visa stamping/immigration. And yes I retrieved all certified court documents and consulted an immigration attorney over this issue and obviously since I'm not a threat to this country and based on this minor case my admission to US will not be denied, and I have mentioned clearly about this issue on DS160.
But if anyone has gone through this issue before and got visa approved/rejected, please share your feedback and experience. Any information you got will be helpful.

And please share any recent H1b interview experiences after Trumps executive orders. This will help increasing the confidence to people who planned for their visa in future.
Lets support ourselves by supporting each other.
Thank you.

H1B interview experience
My Visa is approved. Thank You so much for all the members here in this group for their suggestions and sharing their interview experiences.
I am sharing my interview experience here.

I went through numeruos interview experiences and prepared myself for all sort of questions by VO, However mine went very smooth.

OFC Appointment : Jan 18th, Hyderabad
Interview on Jan 23rd, Hyderabad

VO : How are you
Me : Good Morning Officer, I am good. How are you.

VO : I am good. Who is you petetioner?
Me : ZZZ

VO : From how long you have been working with xxx?
Me : New Opportunity.

VO : How did you came to know about this opportunity?
Me : Answered.

VO : What is your salary per annum?
ME : xx dollars

VO : Will you be working at Client location?
Me : Yes

VO : Who is your client?
Me : YYY

VO : Come again
Me : Spelled it.

VO : Which City, State you will be going?
Me : xxx,yyy

VO : Highest Education?
Me : Bachelor's in technology

Vo To My Wife (When VO switches her questions to your dependednts , 99% your visa is approved. I am telling this with my R&D on visa interviews)

VO asked only 2 questions to my wife 1. How Long you have been married, 2. So you have 2 kids?

VO : DO you have that white phamplet?
Me : Yes Mam. (Now I am 99.99% sure my visa is approved)

You both have to go through it. its very important to know your rights in US. Your visa is approved.

I have some suggestions for the folks who are going to attend interview in future.

1. As everyone says, Yes you have to be very confident. You might be tensed, try not to show it on face and answer confidedntly.
2. All your answers should be short and sweet. No short forms like B.Tech, B.E.
3. Prepare all sort of probable questions and Ask your friend to take a mock interview, I did this and helped me a lot. I was struck at many places while answering to my friend.
4. I assume booking morning slots is better than afternoon slots, VO will have a fresh mind. Its my personal opinion, I might be wrong though. In hyderabad consulate they just look at your date, not time. So even though you got a latter slot try joining the queue very early.
5. For In house project folks, be prepared to answer the question "Explain me about your project", There is a very high chance to ask this, and most of the times this may decide your fate. So take this question very seriously.
6. Some more important questions where you might get caught are "What do you know about your client/employer?", "What does your client/employer do?", "Explain me about your interview process", "Name of your technical interviewer", "Why did you choose this opportunity", "WHy did your employer choose only you?"

ALL THE BEST FOLKS. Hope we wont face any toubles with Trump's aggresive decisions :)

Could someone please advise the current scenario
Will it be safe to schedule visa stamping in the coming 2-4 weeks ?

H1b visa and Green Card filing at the same time?
Hi, I am currently an L2 Visa holder. I have applied for an EAD and started working in July 2016. My husband is an L1 visa holder and his company sponsored our Green Card which we filed Dec 2016.
My current employer wants me to file for an H1b visa as they do not want to depend on my husband's employer.
Does anyone know if it is possible to have both processes ongoing in parallel (GC and H1b) without having any problems? are these processes totally independent?

Thanks

H4 : i94 was truncated to back dated/already passed date
Both my Spouse and Daughter are currently in US with me on H4 visa. There H4 visa is valid till 20th July 2017. Till 8/10/2016 there I94 was valid till July 2017. There were some issue in travel history of i94 for both of my depends(which was displayed online), so on mid August 2016, I went to USICS border and security office in Los Angeles to get travel dates corrected, but there they discovered/told me that for my wife old passport which has valid H4 visa expired on July 2016, so the i94 which was till July 2017 needs to be corrected/truncated to match expired passport date(Even though she has her new passports renewed before expiry of old passport). So they updated/truncated my wife i94 to back date in July 2016 (this date already passed, according to this updated i94 she will be now be out of status) and they asked me to apply new I94 through I-539 form. Also they stamped on passport visa page to update new back dated i94.

Similar case was with my daughter , her old passport expired on May 2016, so they updated/truncated her I94 from July 2017 to May 2016(same as passport expiry date) (this date already passed, according to this updated i94 she will also be out of status). They have also updated her passport visa page with new i94.

As soon as there i94 was updated/back dated, I contacted my company and applied there visa extension in “Nunc Pro Tunc” petition with application date in mid Sep 2016.

Along with their(H4) visa extension I also applied my H1B visa extension and amendment(My visa was expiring on July 2017, but still I applied my visa ext and amendment along with their(H4) visa extension) in premium processing, so that H4 will also be treated in premium. Unfortunately I got RFE in H1B, which was replied in Dec 2016 and I got approval for 1 year, now when we received i797, my approval notice is correct (Dec 2016 to Dec 2017) because my i94 and visa both were still valid till July 2017, but my dependents whose filing was in “Nunc Pro Tunc” petition has approval dates similar to mine (Dec 2016 to Dec 2017) even though my dependents extension was files in “Nunc Pro Tunc” petition.
There approval is neither a) Back dated from i94, nor b) From petition application date (Sep)

Please note that both of my dependent has i94 on i797 approval notice from Dec 2016 to Dec 2017

Now my wife has gap of ~5 months and my daughter has gap of ~8 months.

Please support how to get this rectified

H-1 H-4 and H-4 EAD Concurrent filing for renewal
My husband has applied for H-1, H-4 and Ead renewal concurrently. H-1 and H-4 are approved but got an RFE for EAD. Initially the concurrent filing was regular but converted to premium after a month. After 5 days we got approval for H-1, H-4 on same day and RFE for EAD next day. We replied the RFE as soon as we received it and the status is updated to RFE is received.
My question is:
Since i filed concurrently with H-1 will it be still considered as premium after responding to rfe or will it be processed as regular processing ? My h-4 ead will expire in few days and waiting the renewal.
