I'm hoping to get some guidance on this email thread.
I would be attending a h1b visa interview without a client letter. I just joined my new firm and have been been in US for 3 years. The company that I joined is one among the big 4 consulting firms in the world.
Can someone advise what sort of questions to expect given my situation. will there be any issues bcos i'm not assignment to a customer ?
i was advised by my attorneys to substantiate with prospective client names if required. someone here who had attended an interview after being on an employment with big 4 consulting (US based employment) would be great.

H4 Issued & H1 on Admin Processing
Hi All,
I had my VI yesterday (26th Nov) along with my wife. Officer mentioned it was approved for both of us, but when I check the status for my wife Status is Issued :) and for me its showing as Admin Processing.
Curious to know how many days did it take to get your passport from the day of Interview.
Also share your contact number so that I can call you...to clarify

Hi All,
For the first time I attended my visa interview @hyderabad on 26/11/2014 10.30am slot
My token number was ##9.
Checking for my number in the big screen..it displayed ##7, ##8, ###,
I asked person sitting beside me why ##9 is skipped he told wait it'll come. I was waiting for my number in the big screen, all of a sudden the system restarted and stopped working.
Manually calling out the numbers now, I went and verified my number with lobby managers they took me to counter X.
Me: Gud morning
VO: Gud morning, please give me your passport
VO: No previous travels(checking the pages in passport)
Me: No Sir
---- some other lady VO came with a passport and discussed for 5mins with my counter VO
---- After 5mins
VO: Sorry
VO: Which company you are going to work
Me: YYYY X
VO: What is your role in the company?
Me: YYYY X
VO: Any end clients?
Me: Yes sir, YYYY
VO: What is the project you work on?
Me: YYYY XX
VO: When are you planning to come back?
Me: by the end of August, 2015
VO: Do you have any MOU or Client letter and project documents
Me: I passed him
VO: He started checking client letter, and asked me so who is this YYYY X
Me: I replied he is Vice President
VO told me to wait a minute and went inside with client letter and project documentation.
I can see him discussing with some other official inside..
Showing client letter and pointing other official at the bottom of the letter.
Discussed for 15mins and came back.
VO: Sir, Please wait in the lobby we will get back to you.
Me: Ok sir, thanks.
--- I waited for 20-25mins in lobby
Some other official called out my name and requested for I797, I129, LCA and letter to USCIS.
I submitted everthing
-- After 10-15mins counter X VO called me up again.
VO: Sorry for the delay sir
VO: We need some more time to process your visa.
-- He given me all the documents including passport and 221g white slip
Me: Thank you sir.
Here in the 221g white slip he didn't mark for any document. He checked in the checkbox
YOUR APPLICATION REQUIRES ADDITIONAL PROCESSING BEFORE FINAL DESICION CAN BE MADE.
Can anyone help me out what this means, he didn't even ask for any document.

H1B Interview @ Mumbai Consulate coming Tuesday
Hi,
I have my OFC tomorrow (that should be fine) and my Consulate Interview coming Monday on 2nd Dec @ Mumbai Consulate.
I work for a top MNC and have BEP Visa priority with no client letter.

H1b - Hyderabad - 221g white slip
Hi,
I have attended h1b interview at Hyderabad consulate on 1st week of october 2014.
Mine is internal project and VO asked basic questions like employer name, product name, salary.
Then he issued 221g white slip and asked me to update my employer to provide the mentioned documents.
After coming outside I have noticed that all the petitioner document options are checked.
I wondered even he didnt ask any document except tax statements though I had them with me.
Then I have informed my employer about 221g.
My employer sent all the documents to hyderabad consulate within 2 days through email.
But since my interview, my case status is still showing administrative processing withc status updated date as my interview date.
Now it is almost 1 month 20 days.
Can anyone please tell me is it fine to send the employer documents through email or do I need to submit the physical copy at ofc.

Could we apply B1 when H1B visa in query for extra documents
I have applied for H1B through other company where I am going to join .
In visa interview I got 221g white slip to get extra documents.
But in my present company I got offer for B1visa for short period.
Now could I apply for B1 at this stage ?it will get approved?
By doing this ,my H1B approval will wont be getting effected know?

221g blue slip given in Chennai Consulate, in-house project

I have attended the visa interview on 17th November 2014, end up with 221g blue slip, without ticking for any document on that.
Mine is an in-house project.
Regarding my interview its straight forward, same general questions like who is your petitioner and which company u r working for now, whats ur salary etc...when I said in-house project, he asked me for documentation of the project. I have submitted all the documentation (Description, Plan, System Spec). VO asked me to wait for some time and after 1 hour, he called me and gave 221g blue slip. When I asked whether he need any further docs, he said whatever I have submitted should be fine. He kept my 1797 and I129 and Project documentation.

Now VO is asking client letter of BBB i tried to convinced VO but she didn't care my words and final gave 221g form to submit client letter of BBB which i am unable to submit client letter of BBB.
And at last i submitted my client letter AAA along with 221g on Nov 17th, but i got a mail from consulate that need to submit client letter BBB.
Please let me know what i have to do in this case.

Name Bifurcation Issue

I have H1b Petition approved and it is sponsored by my Employer ZZZ. In my approved petition and Passport my name appears as Given Name: AAA BBB while my surname is Blank.
My H1B petition is approved but I am yet to attend VISA Stamping Interview.
At this point in time Is it fine to get my name bifurcated in the passport as Given Name: AAA Surname: BBB before getting the Visa Stamped.
I heard that if the person does not have Surname then there might be issues to get License and other formalities in US and that is the reason I want my name to get printed properly in Passport before attending the Stamping Interview.
I would like to know will there be any issue during interview if we have a new Passport with a new passport number whereas the H1b initiation and Petition approval has been done with Old passport. Or will be it fine if I carry both the passport during the Interview as well as when I am Travelling.
Please help if you had any such experience or if you are aware.
