That's it and then i was handed over a 221G Blue Form.
What are the chances of approval now... or That's the end of my journey

H1B Visa Approved - Chennai Consulate on 7th March
My OFC was on 6th March at 9:00 AM and my PA was on 7th March at 7:30 AM.
Though I planned to reach the Consulate office 30 mins before my appointment, because of some problem I reached 10 mins before my app. time at 7:20 AM. After the initial verification and fingerprint scan which took nearly 30 mins, I moved to the hall where I waited for 15 to 20 mins for my PA interview.
The VO asked just 2 questions.
1. Who is sponsoring your Visa ?
Answered (Just told my employer name)
2. Who is the Client ?
Answered.
Then the VO said that my Visa is approved. The entire interview took less than a minute :)
Gave a form for passport delivery to my Office address and I was out by 8:45 AM
On 11th, the passport was delivered to my office with the Visa Stamp :)

My interview was scheduled at 10:30 AM and I went to the consulate at 10:00 AM.

H1B Approved @ Chennai
OFC on Mar 3rd @ 3 PM - business asusual. Even though VFS asked me to carry two photographs for interview, it is not required and no one in the consulate will ask for photos.

I had my h1b visa got approved on Friday 8th March.
I was very tensed but it was very cool.

Hi,

Now, my company is applying for an H1 Visa this year.
Can the rejection of B1 last year( last in Dec 2012), can affect my H1 application and catch the eyes of VO.
From my company mostly H1 goes through, so just conecerned.

Chennai - Visa Drop Box H4 and Visa Online Status Check
Visa Drop Box with No Interview for H4
1) Go to the Drop Box location anytime after you have the drop box confirmation Letter .No appointment will be given
2) Collect all the docs as mentioned in Stanley docs. Supporting docs page.
4) Goto the location and submit the documents. Should take anywhere between 30- 60 mins.
5) Submission letter will be provided after you submit the docs.
6) Then the tracking process starts
7) Its only the second day you see Case created status in Online Visa Application tracker system
8) Then from Case created it changes to "Admin Processing "
9) After 3 days , the status changes to Issued.
10) Then start tracking using the Passport tracking in Stanley Website.
11) After 2 days the Passport will be delivered to the Blue Dart.
So approximately it takes around 10 - 12 days including weekends for the Passport to reach back.
Dont be worried about the Admin processing status, It is by default and will change over a period of 3 days.

First of all, I would like to thank all of you for sharing your experience which gave a lot of confidence to get my H1B visa.
Now this is my turn to share my Experience.....
On 6th March 2013 my OFC appointment at 10 AM, We reached OFC at 9.15 AM and waited for around 30 Mins, then they checked the Web Appointment letter, DS 160 Confirmation Pages and Passport. No other documents required to carry for OFC. We entered in to the Room and given my and my wife's finger prints and Photo. That all for the first Day.
Note: Please do not caryy any types of Bags..
On 7th March 2013 My Interveiw at 11.30 AM, We reached to Embassy at 10.45 AM, and we waited in the Queue till 11.15 Am and they allowed to Security check by cheking the Passport, DS160, and Appointment Letter.
Interview went like below:
VO: Good Afternoon.. Please give your Passport..
ME: Good Afternoon.. and given Both the Passpots and Asked How are you doing..
VO: I am doing good, how about you
Me: I am good, Thank you.
VO: Why you are going to US?
Me: Explained...
VO: Who is your Client?
Me: YYYY
VO: What is your US Salary?
Me: ZZZ
VO: What is your highest Qualification?
Me: ZZZ
Questions to My Wife:
VO: What is your highest Qualification?
My Wife: Answered..
Then he typed some thing in his Computer for 2-3 Seconds and told your visa is approved and you will receive text message in next 2-3 Days.
We both thanked to VO and said have a nice day ahead and returned back.
We Paid 600/- to premium courier service to deliver the passport.

I have approved petition for HB extension till Aug 2015 . . I have to go urgently to India for personal reasons and my wife is not fit to travel with me to India for medical reasons . . . . is it OK to attend hb stamping alone ?
