Want my H1 to get rejected
I am into a weird situation. I have applied for Visa in March 2012. Then our company told that my going onsite will be accordingly to my comfort. But now my marriage is fixed and my travel might fall during the marriage date. When I took this query to management they coldly rejected to my query and said, I have to move immediately after getting my Visa stamped. I have requested them a lot, but of no use. Now I purposefully want to get rejected in Visa interview, so that I can go ahead with my marriage plans and then think about the onsite offers.

So, please let me know the tips on what would make the consulate officer, reject my Visa. My documents and all are proper and my date is somewhere in the coming 15 days.

my email id is [email protected]

Successful H-4 Stamping at New Delhi on 23-Oct-2012
This forum helped me a lot, so it's my turn to provide my experience.

My husband had gotten his H1 stamping done from Ottawa, Canada in 1st week of Oct 2012, and had sent me all his documents via fedex. So on the D-Day, I carried all the documents including his notarized I-797, I-129, LCA, marriage album, marriage cert., H1 VISA stamp copy, his passport copy, his tax returns(2 years), his bank statements (6 mnths), W-2's (2 years), Emp. verification letter, Client letter, H-4 letter from his employer, and a bunch of other supporting documents. I also carried my NOC (govt. employee), educational docs, salary slips etc.

My OFC was on 16-Oct-2012 at Nehru Place, New Delhi.
My interview was at 9:00 AM on 23-Oct-2012.

Questions Asked by Visa Officer (VO):

VO: Good morning! Your documents please (Passport, I-797, copy of H1 VISA stamp)
Me: (provided him the documents) Good morning Sir, how are you?

VO: Good, so you are going to join your husband?
Me: Yes Sir!

VO: What does he do?
Me: He's a Sr. Software Engineer working on YYYY tech. with YYY (employer)

VO: Is YYY his client or direct employer?
Me: Sir, YYY is his direct employer.

VO: How long have you known your husband for?
Me: Since Dec 2011
VO: Ok, almost a year

VO: When did you both get married?
Me: (told full Date of marriage)

VO: Was yours an arranged / love marriage
Me: Arranged.

VO: Where was the wedding?
Me: xxx banquet hall, yyy place, New Delhi

VO:Was it a big wedding and how many people attended the same?
Me: Yes sir was fairly big, and approx. 200 people attended.

VO: Who arranged for the wedding?
Me: Sir, as per Indian customs, my family had arranged for the wedding.
VO: So did wedding mean lots of work for you?
Me: Yes Sir, lots for me and my family :)

VO: How long has you husband been in the US for?
Me: 10 Years
VO: That's a long time.

VO: Where's you husband?
Me: (Told him the complete US address)

VO: Alright, I grant you the VISA
Me: Thank you Sir and have a great day.

Got an email on 23rd Oct evening itself that my PP had been picked up by courier service.
Since 24-Oct was Dushherra, so collected my passport personally from Nehru Place on 25th Oct 2012.
All set to be with my husband in a weeks time :)

Good luck to all H1/H4 applicants.

to the guy below. not to burst your bubble, i have all the good will for you. but i dont think you can say 100% that your visa is approved. you might get a 221 g or any e-mail. bcos usual answer from VO in case of approval is ---approved , you will get your passport in X days. which in ur case he didnt say that.
