Hi
I was issued 221g at kolkata consulate on 25th Sep.
Submitted the docs in Hyd OFC on 9th Oct.
Earlier [email protected] used to display "Intransit to Post".
All of a sudden, it is saying "Please use valid passport number or uid".
When checked with ustraveldocs, they are saying it is still "Intransit to Post".
Not sure, why Team stanley is taking such a long time to send docs to consulate.
Please let me know, if any one else are in same situation.

Hi My H1B visa got approved on 10/19/2012.
Day1: (Bio metrics)
Simple process just carry the appointment letter, DS 160 confirmation page and Passport
Day2: (PA)
After standing in a large queue, finally I entered the Consulate after thorough Physical checking including my wallet, watch, belt etc.
I got my token after checking of my documents and finger prints meticulously.
After my token displayed on the LED screen, I went to the respective counter and interview as followed:
VO:Hi
Me:Hello
VO:Give me PP
Me:I gave my PP and I797
VO:What is your education background?
VO:Who is your client?
VO:which is the location are you going?
VO:Your visa got approved and have a nice day
That’s it!

Our H1 and H4 got approved on 11th oct 2012 in chennai
The VO was very kind he just asked three to four questions
1. Who is your employer?
2.who is your client?
3.what is your role and salary?
4.What is your project?
He asked just a question to my wife as how long we have been married?
Regarding the passport,if you have requested for pickup option ,dont wait for a mail or sms from VFS
just go to the pickup location after two working days,as they don't update the status soon.

Me and Spouse got visa approved oct 5th.We gave a courier address to send our passport ( VFS desk)
still we did not receive our passport.we called many times to that helpline number.they are not answering properly.
can anyone know who attented my case please advise us.

H1B Approved @ Hyderabad Consulate
Hi Everyone,
First of all Thank GOD and thanks to everyone who posted their experiences here.
My H1 got approved at the Hyd Consulate.
Following were the questions asked.
1) Can you pass me your passport.
2) So you work for xxxx.
3) How long have you been attached to this company.
4) Can you give me your H1 Petition and your supporting Docs.
3) Where are you going to work ?
5) Will you be working for a client?
6) What is your highest qualification ?
7) What project will you be working on in the US.
Then came the most awaited words
VO: ok. Your Visa is approved, You can collect your passport after 3 days.
Me: Thank U, Thank U So much have a great Day.
The Interview lasted for around 10-15 mins, Most of the time of the Interview the VO was typing something on his PC and then briefly checking my Docs.
Pray, Just be cool and confident and cheerful ( I know it's easier said than done, but be at your best behaviour ) and let GOD take care of the rest.

My H1B got approved on 17th Oct at Chennai..
16th was biometrics at OFC centre..it will take 15 mins max.
17th Oct 12PM was my PA.. reached the consulate an hour before and was waiting for my turn..done with docs verification and security checks...Do not carry any electronic gadgets..there is no locker facility at chennai consulate..Entered the consulate and collected the token and waiting for for my token # to be displayed on the big screen..Went to respective counter and gave the docs(passport,appointment confirmation,ds160,petition) they asked.they will arrange in a order and put a rubber band and return it back..then had a finger print.Then was waiting to get into next building for PA.
My Token number got displayed in counter X. Wait for your turn .
VO : Good morning

Me: Answered accordingly with specialisation
VO: Wat is the work you do?
Me: Answered abt the roles and responsibilities
Then he was looking at his system for sometime and returned my petition alone.
Took my passport , ds160 and said "Your visa has been approved. Pleas wait for mail to collect the passport".
It was really cool and do not panic..read ds160 completely..

My husband had his H1B interview on 16th & 17th Oct and following is our experience:
Day 1: Finger Printing and photograph
Day 2: Actual Interview. The VO just asked us 4 questions:
Qs to hubby:
1. Who is your employer ?
2. Who is the client?
Qs to me:
1. When did you get married?
2. Then he said "Oh! so its a recent marriage? Is it a happy marriage?".
And our visas got approved. No questions on hubby's L1 rejection.
