I was issued 221G in the month of October, 2011. The reason for issuing this 221G was that I had given a wrong answer for the question "What is your work place?" - I had replied the VO that client place but actually its an inhouse project.
Now, luckily I have another H1 approval with different employer and the case is approved and planning to go for stamping in the month of Jan 2012. Will anybody out there suggest me that Do I need to wait till the 221G case is cleared? how to combat the 221G when I go for the January stamping?? Please advise. I greatly appreciate it.

Hi all,
My wife went for H1b stamping today in chennai consulate. She is a direct employee of a big financial concern.
Questions asked :
1. How long you work this company ?
2. What is ur highest degree ?
3. Which branch of xxxx you are going to work ?
thats all and she got the visa..
She also said except some 1 or 2 , everyone else was getting visa.

H1-B Approved (BKC, Mumbai) 29th December
Interview time was 8:30 am. Reached BKC at 8:10am. There was a long queue. VFS representatives check your HDFC receipt, Appointment Letter, Passport and the I-797 petition while you wait in the queue.
Entered the building at 8:50am and stood in line to collect the token number. After that went through security check. This was done by 9 am.
Waited in another line for fingerprints. Waited for at least 15-20 mins. After that waited patiently till I saw my token number on the screen.
Be prepared to wait for 1 - 1:30 hour for your token number to be flashed. The consulate was very crowded that day. Finally number flashed at 11:00 am.
This is how the interview went.

VO: Hello
VO: Can I see your passport and your I-797 please
me: passed the docs
VO: Why do you want to go to the US?
me: answered
VO: What does your company do?
me: answered
VO: What are your responsibilities?
me: answered

me: I did my MS in xxx from xxxx university

H1B at Mumbai Consulate - 28-Dec-2011
Hi… here is my experience I had for H1B visa stamping at Mumbai Consulate:
It hardly took 2-4 mins for my interview, however many questions covered. Be very confident while answering. Try to answer question very shortly and to the point unless and until interviewer waits for more information.
Reach at least 1 hr before interview time and Do not carry any bags, mobile, etc… just your document file.
My question and the way I answered:
1. What is your Client’s Name?
a. XYZ
2. What business is your client into?
a. One liner description of my client. E.g. “XYZ is leading cards and payment processing company”.
3. Which city you are travelling to?
a. AA city, BB state
4. Since how long you are with Current employer?
a. X.Y years
5. What is your role?
a. I work as <<my designation>>. Comment: If interviewer is not satisfied he will ask for more, so don’t worry. In my case he wanted more info… so he again asked me question no. 8
6. Which project are you working for?
a. ABC project <<name of my project>>
7. What is the project about?
a. Small description of your project. As per my project I said - It is reporting tool which gives reports for transaction to client as per the requirement.
8. What do you do in that project? Refer question 5 comment.
a. I analyze and understand the requirement and design the solution for my client, based on the requirement.
9. What is your salary?
a. $..... (US salary/annum)
10. Qualification done from?
a. CCC university
11. Year Passed?

Please make sure you should reach consultant before at least ½ hr and also don’t carry any electronic stuffs.
I was having appointment 16th dec @8.30. Was gone through security check, biometric etc

We got our H1 and H4 visa successfully approved on Dec15 at Chennai.
I had my L1B rejected in Aug2010.
We had the appointment at 10.30am. We reached there by 10, so could easily get in without standing for long in the queue.
Everything was fast for us, except at the counter where our finger prints were taken, my hands were sweating.
The following questions were asked to me :
VO : Do you work for 'x'?
Me : Yes
VO : Where will you travel to?
Me : 'x' city
VO : What will you do there?
Me : explained what I will do.
VO : What is you highest qualification?
Me : Bachelor of Tech in Comp Sc and Engg
VO : What is your salary?
Me : x $ per yr
VO : Did you read the white pamphlet?
Me : Yes
