H1B, H4 Visa

Hello friends, Thanks for all the guys who had posted there experiences here and best of luck to the guys who are going to appear, I got my successfull stamping in Mumbai consulate, and believe me VO didn't ask me for a single Documents, what i observe is if you have got confidence he/she is observing it from the first look itself and again and agian they are checking your confidence level by putting some questions on you if you have got confidence then chances are high, remember one thing VO also are Human beings, so don't be get worry or nervous if visa is there in ur luck it has to come.... Finally VO ask me a few questions and based on my answers he issued a visa.....our conversation went like this.....

Me: May i come in sir???
VO: Yes..
Me: Good Morning how are you doing?
VO: I am fine what about you?
Me: Fine thank you and what about you? I put this question repeatedly so VO smiled and put me a question again..
VO: Yes...What you want me to do??
Me: I need my H-1 Visa for work purpose in USA.
VO: what is your highest qualification?
Me: xyz...
VO: where are you working now?
Me: Xyz..
Vo: What is your role in US?
Me: Xyx...
VO: who is your client?
Me: I am going for in house project/
VO: what is your current CTC?
Me: I got confused and put a question on him...(You want my present CTC or the salary i am going to get over there in US)??
VO: your present Salary sir?
Me: xyz in /annum
VO: what will be your salary in US?
ME: xyz $/Annum sir.
VO: who is your client?
Me: As i said you earlier i am going for in house project.
VO: How did you got the offer?
Me: I was uploaded my resume in xyx job portals i was got so many calls and number of company wanted to apply for my H-1 but i choose this company and organisation after reviewing eachand every detail about the organisation.
VO: Congrats you have got your visa approved and it will be courier to you in 3 working days.
Me: Is it possible to collect the same from VFS today.
Vo: No it will be courier to you in 3 working days sir.
Me: Okay thank you and have a good day.

   Note: while i was answering i realize he was just asking and observing my face and apart from that you need to apply from a good organisation...i was not even a single time got nervous or nor taught about anything and was too confident because i had each and every documents with me provided by company so there was no need to worry...thanks to my organisation i had got each and every single documents from them the complete project details,tax papers,labour etc etc....Guys be confident and b4 going for the interview make sure you have got all the required documents with you by this automatically you will get confidence apart from this Luck always matter in each and every thing....So best of Luck Guys and wish you a Very Happy new year 2008, and I would like all the people who has appeared or appearing please put your experiences over here so that others will get benefits like we.....

hi , all i attend interview on oct 24 , and got 221g query stating to submit additional documents like tax doc.. I submitted them on dec 12 today i got courier from them which contains passport along with another 221g(query) stating Additional administrative processing is required. Can anyone tel how much time span they will take to respond. If they respond means in what way is it through courier or e-mail.

Is it necessary to add the spouse name in my passport for attending the interview(H4).

The people who had already attend the interview for H4 and got the visa, then please help me in my query.

HI ALL, My wife is travelling with me on H4 dependent visa, can she pursue higher studies(MS) while she is on dependent visa

I am trying to get an appointment towards the end of Feb for my fiancee (H4). I have been looking at the availability in Chennai and don't see anything open yet for Feb. Are all these slots filled or they haven't been open yet? Please comment. TIA.

I had attend the interview in chennai some time in Oct, I had been issued 221G asking to submit necessary docs, I have submited all the docs into VFS Bangalore office with Passport in mid of Nov, Today i rcvd my passport with H1b visa. so guys don't loose ur conf.

I have already shared my interview experience with you guys....I had interview on 5th Nov.07 and I have been given Yellow 221 (g) for AAP which got cleared and I received the following mail from Consulate ...

Dear Sir,

This is to inform you that the clearance from Washington for your US non-immigrant visa application has been received.

You DO NOT require scheduling another appointment. Please visit the VFS office with your yellow pending letter, passport and yellow envelope.
You do not need to come to the CONSULATE.

If you have be given a white pending (221g) letter you need to come to the consulate any working day at 9.30 am with your passport, yellow envelope and documents pertaining to your application.

You may carry a copy of this email for ready reference.

I had submitted the passport at VFS on 19th Dec07 and I have got the passport back after 2 weeks as another AAP 221 (g)....sad

Does anybody knows how much time does it realy takes for the 2nd AAP, can anybody help me in tracking the same.

I have been working in the US and had my visa interview on 4th Jan. I was issue the yellow 221G form. I guess everyone applying for H1B in Mumbai is being issued the same form. I have my return ticket for the 13th Jan. Is there anything that could be done to speed up the process or can I travel to US on advance parolle.

I went for interview on 2008 january.And i got a rejection for my company is small.They asked me first my degree,i replied for it.Then they asked whether am having project description,i showed them .Then they asked do am having any Tax papers,i showed that too.After reviewing it and typing something on their system VO said "am sorry your project description is not enough,i need more explanation and ur tax papers is only for 6 months i need 2 more years and yours is a small company so i dont think they can give you a good job.So i cant issue VISA right now.ie it.

Redirectd mumbai to chennai.

I atteneded the visa interview on 04 of january 2008. the vo issued me a 221 (g) white by marking that your zone comes under chennai consulate.because I am having the andhra radesh passaport.

But iam working in pune from past 2.5 years I am having everything from my side like bank statements, mobile bills,rental agremet.

But the vo doesn’t want to listen any thing from my side.
Is any one having the same experience.

Can I attend the chennai consulate.

I need a fresh appointment or can I attend directly.
