In response to my query, the US Consulate of Chennai has replied back to my mail stating that the issuance fee is waived for all Indian Passport holders from yesterday.

There is a news floating around stating that the issuance fee of $50 is no longer required for H Visa stamping effective from 08-Nov-2006 and the demand draft is no longer being collected at the US Consulate after the visa approval. I checked it up with the VFS, Chennai office and the customer care person confirmed the news. However, I am writing this mail to you just to make myself clear regarding this.
I have scheduled my H Visa interview on 14-Nov-2006 and hence your quickest response to this query will be of greatest help to me.

Other than Sharpedge Solutions which is a small(about 10 employees)in Chicago which has become notorious due to their inefficiency and no pay, no expenses.I had friends who had that experience in
IT sphere and World IT Services, Master Soft.

PLease make a note of all these so that in future you can warn your friends and relatives not to take the wrong step by joining these companies

While I go for H1 interview, should I take My wife also for H4

PL. someone guide me ....!
1) I plan to go to Chennai consulate interview next month for H1. Is it adviceable to take my wife also for her H4 OR shoule I alone go now and snend my wife alone later for her H4 ?
2)If I want to take my wife now along with me, is it possible to get the Consulate Appointment together ie. at same time . My concern is that after I fix mine , here interview date & time should not fall later such that we doneappear toigether before the VO

I was there yesterday for my interview , they had collocted yesterday , today i'm not sure . but you can go with DD if they don't take , you can do cancel anytime with in 6 month . no issuse.

221 g and Visa Issuance Fee
I went to the Chennai consulate today and was issued a 221(g). Also I got to know that they are no longer collecting Visa Issuance DDs from today.
Here is what I felt about the interview
To verify that you qualify for the visa, you need to have
4 years degree in computer science or PG in computer science(He said my EC degree does not qualify) and or
Solid experience as a software engineer(This one I did qualify)
From the consultant they require a detailed description about the project, who the client is, where you'll be employed etc. If you are working on an in house project, take in project specific details. This is where I got the 221(g).
I think they've taken out the luck factor. Now it works more like a check-list. You should be there, prove your credentials and prove there is a job that needs you.
Here is what I felt about the interview

H1B Visa
Hi Guys,
I have attended my interview on 19th October, It was long queue on 19th Oct, due to heavy rain and also heavily crowded. My intervies schedule time is 12:15 PM , But they were entered me only at 2:30 PM.
1. Outside counter checked my oppointment letter and passport.
2.First building(Indians) verified my DS-156,DS-157, HDFC receipt, I-129 etc., Submitted my documents there only. She told they will send to next building,
3. Went to next building, I was waiting for my folder to come from first building, it didn't come till 5:15 Pm,
3.At 5:30 PM went for finger print, and 5:45 PM attended my interview with lady VO.
4. a)She asked is it your new employment ?
b)What is your deisgnation there ?
c)For which project you are working for ?
d)Explain about your project ?
e)Can I see your papers anything about project details ?
After seeing all these , She said VISA is approved it will deliver in 3 days.
Really this site is helped me a lot,.
