successful H1 B stamping
hi all,

first of all I am thanking everyone who have shared their experiences because it helped me a lot to prepare for all type of questions.

But fortunately my interview was cool.I am sharing the experience here.

Me: Gud afternoon
VO: Gud afternoon.how are you?
Me: fine.How about you?
VO: fine.thanks.
VO: how long have you been with the current company?
Me: Nearly one year
VO: Why do you want to go to US?
Me: ...I told my project details.while i am speaking he asked me the next question.
VO: you are going to work in ..my company name.. United States office.. right?
Me: Yes
VO: which is the major client for ur US development centre?
Me:I said..my client bank name...
VO:how long will u be dere?
Me:24 months
VO:what is ur qualification?
Me:Masters degree in computer science.
VO:could u pls show the certificate?
Me:Sure.(I gave my certificate).
VO:..returned back..and gave me a small slip&said..If you have any problem with ur employer in US contact these links...(The slip contains some url and rules which are coming under US labour dept)..
Your passport will courier to ur address with in 3 days.
Me: Thanks.have a nice day.
VO: smiled.

so my interview was very cool.May be my company is a well known in the industry and I was very cool and spoke loudly.

if u r working in a well known company you have to wear the id card and place ur visiting card in the file the gave.So he wil get a gud impression and everything wil be cool.

while waiting for the interview I heard so many questions ..they are asking a lot of questions to people who have coming from the companies which are not known to the VO.so if such people are going to attend interview will be prepared for all type of questions which we discussed in this site.

Even he didn't ask any documents other than my PG certificate and one more thing i want to inform u that there is nothing with the color of the file, they are giving.Today I closely observed that for H1 they are giving green,L1 --blue and for B1 --pink.

so be cool..confident and loud..

Visa is urs ..

Thanks again to everyone..

Thanks & regards
Liju

Following questions were asked:

5. Where u r currently working and for how long?
6. My responsibilities in the current job and there at US?

To my Wife :

Successful stamping of H1 from mumbai
hi,

First of all thanks to everyone who has shared their experiences. This is really helpful.

I got my H1 visa stamped from mumbai consulate on 18th Oct. My back ground, i am a mechanical engg with 1 year of experience in mech industry and 2 years and 8 mnths in IT industry. So currently i am working with the IT industry.

My interview hardly took 30 secs and 3 questions. Following are the questions asked to me:
Q Which company are you going for?
Q Where are you going to stay in US?
Q How did you got the reference for this company?

OK, you are through and you passport will be delievered in 2 days by courier. Have a nice day.. Thats it.

Initially i was very much afraid coz there cud have been many counter questions like,
1) if you are a mech engg then why did you switched to IT ind.
2) if you were having a job in mech ind then why did you left it for IT.
3) why are you quitting your current company, since it is the largest IT giant in India.

These are some of the questions i was prepared for and also afraid of. But fortunately she didnt asked all this.
So, be prepared for all the possible questions this will make you confident.
Dont fumble while giving and of the answers, else she will dig into that.
If you give answers to first two questions confidently then you will be thru in no time.
Finally, pray god and be confident.

All The Best.

Regards,
Kalpesh
