Response to "Courier Delivery Time"
It is typically the next working day on all major cities. If you are in Chennai, you can go to VFS office at Cenatoph Road, Tenampet and collect it in person between 4-5PM. You need to carry your hdfc receipt and interview letter. You can track if your passport is available for pickup through vfs website or through the SMS service from your mobile. Typically your visa wil be available on the same day for pickup if not next working day evening.

Check VFS website for "Rush Service" to know more.

H1 and dependents it was so easy...........
On 30th October i reached chennai US consulate at 10:43. My appointment was at 10:45. I always thought of reaching early but because of the traffic jam and Heavy rain fall on previous night the Roads jam and vehicles were hardly moving.
Once i reach there with my wife and daughteres i stood for the document checking and i showed I-797, and 156,157 and the appointment letter then , i was allowed inside the main building quickly.
I was guided to a counter number 1 for processing Finger print scanning and after the scanning i was told to wait near the counter number 9. i was watching curiously towards all the counters and trying to hear the questions they were asking. when my turn came, i was called and i went near the counter and greeted him with a "Good Morning" and a smile and looked at him. He smiled back and asked me where are you working now? where were you working before? at US do you work at the clients place?
I answered the first two questions and for the third question i answered as, I dont work at the clients place instead i visit clients place to gather information and convey to my development team and help them develop the solution. (this was the Only question i was worried that they would not accept unreasonable answers)
then he called my wife and daughters(two) and looked at them once and looked at photoes, and said, Madam please sitdown till i speak to your husband.he asked whats your pay at US? I told my pay at the US. then he asked me to show the Original visa application (may be I-129), i searched the documents sent by my employer at US and it was not found and told him the same that I dont have any such document. then he checked my I-797 and he went towards the printer and got the print of the I-129 from his computer.
then he took some time to type information and he returned all the documents which he asked me to show and said "your visa is approved sir you will get your passport in couple of days" ......
Suddenly i could not belive myself, I quickly said "Thank you very Much" and left the counter. I was taking a Long Breath. I had read lots of experiances about the refusal i-229, admin process, clients letter, US office photo etc., but, he did'nt ask any of such. everything was over in a matter of 10 to 20 minutes.

Any way I thank Immihelp site for giving us lots of information about the immigration and the US visa, I thank all the folks who shared their experiances here which will be a guide for their visa stamping experiance.

what ever the information you want about visa and immigration you ask it, the site has it.
its really great work Thanks again to site.

regards samson.
