H4 documents
i have few questions regarding the documents that are needed for a H4 visa
applicant. I have a visa appointment for H1 visa. I have my H1 approval
with me and my husband who is applying for a H4 visa didnt get his H4
approval yet. But he has the receipt # for his application. I am wondering
if he can provide a copy of my H1B approval to the consular at the US
embassy with our marriage ceritificate and his documents that proofs his
current status in US. Please let me know your answer? Could you also
please send me a list of documents that are needed for a H4 applicant
during his visa appointment?

H1B in London embassy
Hello Friends,

My employer will file my papers by 1rst week of April. I am based in London, planning to apply visa in US consulate, London. I got a gud idea about chennai consulate from this forum.

I dt have any idea about US consulate in London. Any of u got H1b from london or any1 planning to apply thru US consulate, London.

Is that easy to get here. ?

Actually my Uk visa geting expire this oct'06. before that I would like to give a try in London embassy. thats y I asked my employer to do the premium processing.

I thought of appearing for interview by last week of Apr/ first of May and going back to india

If they r sending to home country, then there is no point in premium processing in my case.

Please share your information regarding this. I really appreciate it if you respond to this.

with regards,

Help reg 221g
I had my interview on 20-Mar and got 221g for not having project details document.

The officer kept my DS-156 and 157 and returned me all the documents including my passport.

I was asked to get the following documents from my employer.

1. Project details letter from client
2. Itenary of services for 3 years

My query is:
1. Do I have to submit DS-156 and 157 again?
2. Do I have to attend the interview with the same Visa officer?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Successful H4 Visa Stamping @Chennai
This is the experience of my spouse who had successful H4 Visa stamping on March 23rd in Chennai.
About myself- I came to USA 5 years back to do Masters and i am on H1B visa since 2003. I currently work for small Indian owned consulting company at their client sites.
The appointment for my spouse was at 2 pm. She was out by 7pm. It was a long day though the interview lasted only for about 10 minutes.

Questions asked by the male Visa Officer-
1. Is it arranged marriage?
2. Show me the original Marriage Certificate
3. How long is your husband in USA
4. Is your husband working as consultant?
5. show me your husbands company's tax and insurance documents
6. show me your husbands Pay slips for the current year.
7. Show me your husbands W2 and Tax Returns for all the years of his stay in USA
8. Show the company photos
9. Show the Utility bills
10. show the original client signatured letter and contract agreement

Note- According to my spouse, there were rejections for those applicants (both H1 and H4) who couldnot produce Tax /Financial statements, client letter (client, if applicable), photos etc.
