Successful H1B Stamping at Chennai Consulate
I had my visa interview yesterday i.e 6 March at 1:15pm. Well after the intial rounds etc i reached in the main building and after waiting for around 4 hours my turn came (around 5pm).Two people were issued 221G in front of me. Now before starting let me give a general backgound about me.
Education - Non IT background.
Experience - Around 5 years in IT and I have been working in the current company for more than 3 years.
So I am sure at this point of time that my educational background is going to be the main problem.
Here is how the interview went.

VO: Good afternoon. How are u doing?
Me: I am doing good. How are u doing?
VO: Good.
Passed the folder.
He started looking in my PP. I had 2 US entries before for B1 from my current company. He was checking something on his computer and looking at my previous US visas. No questions asked till now.
VO: What are u going to work on?
ME: I am going to work on ZZZ.
VO: Can you explain that to me?
Me: Just started explaining but he interrupted me.
VO: Do u have any docs which mentions the description.
Me: Yes I have.
I handed him the letter from my employer which mentions about the product and my roles and responsibility in that.
Vo: Do u have the company's corporate Tax returns.
Me: yes.
Handed over to him.
He again satrted looking in his computer. After two mins, he handed the docs back to me and kept the PP and told me to pay the fees. That was it. I thanked him and proceeded to pay the fee. He didnt even look at my certificates.
So people out there with Non IT background, please don get disheartened.

I am still awaiting the PP.

H1 doubt
I had been to US on B1 1 year ago. My stamping date is on 20th march. I dont remember what I entered(for my B1) in Supervisor name column in previous employers details section for my first employer. Now if the entry differs(for H1 from B1) then can i be in trouble?

How is the rejection rate in Delhi?

Template for 'Client Letter' and 'Project Itenary'
Hello,

Does any one have templates for the 'Client Letter', 'Project Itenary' etc ???

I am sure some of you should be having it since the US Consulate, Chennai is requesting these compulsory docs for the past 1 year and rejecting Visa (221G section) outright to those who dont submit these docs to Visa Officer.

If so, please please email me the attachments as my spouse has H4 Visa appointment in next 3 weeks.

221g at chennai counsellate
Hi Sp,
Yes You can get stumped, provided you should convince the VO with the Contract papers, as my close friend got his H1 recently(1week back) in the same manner. If you have some PO's(Purchase Orders) that will be advantage for you. all depends on your luck and convicing power. ALL THE BEST.

221g at chennai counsellate
Hai Everybody.

I was issued 221 g for the second time for a client letter at chennai counselate. But my employer is saying that its impossible to produce a client letter instead he will give me the contract between our company and a third party and the contract between that third party and the end client. Is it possible to get stamped if we produce those. Is anyone there who have stamped with these sort of docs. Your suggestions really counts. Looking after for the guidance from you all.

Thanks & Regards
Sp
